Hendrickson's is a breath of fresh air and a sigh of relief in a world of bridal jewelry hell. First, their staff are always so friendly and helpful, informative without being condescending. Their jewelry is priced better than other places, even custom pieces.
My first sentence, however, is a story of an emotional rollercoaster. I had found a wedding ring I loved on Facebook Marketplace in Vegas. I did all the right things: met at a credible jeweler, had them check and test everything first, and was assured that while it wouldn't be easy to resize as much as I needed, it was something a good, reputable jeweler would be able to do. So I bought it, and brought it home with the plan to take it to my (formerly) favorite jeweler with the confidence that it could be done.
I went to that person and my hopes and dreams of this beautiful ring being resized to fit me were smashed to bits. They said there was no way it could be done. They actually laughed in my face. I took it to two other places for second and third opinions. No dice. They all said there's no way, and only one offered to use the diamonds from my ring and duplicate the setting in a custom piece, but that would cost as much as I paid for this ring.
I remembered that I had had great service at Hendrickson's when I was still shopping, and looked up their website. They do repairs, custom work, etc., and I thought I'd have them quote me to duplicate the setting and use my diamonds for price comparison.
I talked to Denise, who didn't give much away, but asked if she could take my ring in the back. She came back out a minute later with "the magician", Chris. He asked me a couple of questions, verified my ring finger size, and asked if he could cut it to see if the band was hollow (one of many reasons another jeweler had informed me of that it couldn't be resized).
He came back out with my ring less than 2 MINUTES later, and told me to put it on. I did. And it fit perfectly. When I say I cried tears of pure relief, I'm not kidding. They, of course had to fill in the gold on the band, which took a couple weeks, but it fit. They tightened up all of the diamonds, made sure it was perfect, and after a significantly lower amount than I planned to pay, my ring was beautiful and it fit.
I have since changed my favorite jewelry store to Hendrickson's. I have referred all of my friends who have jewelry needs there, and will continue to do so. They take great care of everyone, are always so kind, and have a great selection of jewelry in store, as well as custom pieces if you need something unique.
Please go visit Hendrickson's. You will not regret it.
Thank you Denise, Chris, and Jade, and everyone else at Hendrickson's. You all are...
Read morecan’t recommend Hendrickson’s Fine Jewelry highly enough! After being turned away and dismissed by three other jewelry stores in Meridian (including Lee Reed Diamonds and Prestige Diamond & Jewelry), I was starting to think I’d never find help. All I wanted was to have a diamond I purchased separately set into a men’s silver ring setting I also bought elsewhere. The other jewelers snubbed me, gave excuses about silver “contaminating tools” or said my diamond was too risky to set. One store even acted like they were too good to work with silver.
Thankfully, I was referred to Hendrickson’s by a friend of a friend, and the experience could not have been more different. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and respect. Jade took the time to listen, explained things clearly, and immediately brought in their jeweler Ben, who didn’t hesitate for a moment. Ben set my diamond into the silver ring while I waited—something the other stores flat-out refused to even consider—and at a very fair price.
On top of that, Hendrickson’s quoted me thousands less on a gold ring of the same style compared to what Prestige had quoted me. That shows you exactly how honest and fair this store is.
And the best part? When they learned it was my birthday, even though it was my first visit, they offered me a bottle of wine or movie tickets to celebrate. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare these days, and it shows they truly care about their customers.
Hendrickson’s is everything a jewelry store should be: family-oriented, professional, fair, and welcoming. Jade and Ben went above and beyond for me, and they’ve earned a customer for life. If you need anything jewelry-related in the Treasure Valley, this is the...
Read moreLast December, I was looking for a local jeweler to solder my wedding set together. The work consisted of soldering 3 rings, and 2 needed resizing to match the middle ring. I wanted someone in the Boise area who performed their work in house to minimize the risk of the rings being “lost” during transit.
Honestly, when I originally saw the near perfect review score for Hendrickson’s Jewelry, I was a bit skeptical if they were THAT good. Well, THEY ARE!
I originally stopped by in November, they quoted me a fair price for the work and said it would take about a week to get to it. With the upcoming holidays, I wasn’t ready to leave my rings and said I’d be back in a week. They took my information down and when I had returned, the slip of paper with my information had been misplaced. They honored the previously quoted price and, even with the busy Christmas season, said the ring would be ready in about a week. They called a few days later advising it was ready for pickup.
Upon pickup, the ring was stunning, but they could tell I was a little disappointed. When I commented that I had wanted the middle ring to be placed a little higher to showcase the basket setting and solitaire. They immediately agreed with my comment and took the ring to the back room and fixed it on the spot. The work took about 15 minutes to adjust the rings for the height I wanted and it turned out PERFECT. The alignment of all the diamonds matches exactly, in addition to the craftsmanship being excellent.
I highly recommend Hendrickson’s for any jewelry needs. They also have some gorgeous jewelry in their cases. I’ll definitely ask my husband to shop there when he is looking to buy me something else that is...
