Terrible customer service.
Iâve went to this nail salon for a few months now, only because there arenât many in Gastonia that offer SNS, but this is the first time Iâve gone when Michelle L. (the owner) wasnât there, and the workers created a completely different environment.
There was no music playing (normally there is Christian music playing), and the entire time the ladies were yelling, laughing loudly, and giving hasty, rude replies.
Iâve ignore their poor customer service in the past, but tonight was unbearable.
To start, I came in at 5:30pm, signed in and wrote in the notes section that I wanted âTeeâ or âMichelleâ, because the other nail techs are not nearly as good. After an hour of waiting, a man who said his name was âTommyâ asked me to sit at his table, and he tried to start my nails, I told him I waitng Tee and Michelle, then he said âwell they arenât here so either I do them or you can come back tomorrowâ, we went back and forth for about thirty minutes, as he gave remarks such as, âI donât know what to tell youâ, â we canât help youâ, and âbye, I got to go nowâ, and after being rude and catty he then calls Michelle on the phone and tells her that everyone is busy which is why no one else can do my nails, but I was the only other person in the shop..... not to mention he ended up admitting HE IS NOT EVEN A LICENSED NAIL TECHNICIAN, he wanted to experiment on my nails just to get me out as quickly as possible. During the disagreement Kim (a worker) also yelled out rude remarks then started speaking in their native language causing the other ladies to laugh and stare at me.
After speaking with Michelle over the phone she ends the conversation with âEveryone busy, come back later, byeâ which was rude and inconsiderate, I didnât mind coming back later, but I literally waited an hour before ANYONE SAID ANYTHING TO ME, and itâs not like no one saw me, âTommyâ walked over and looked at the sign-in sheet twice.
Ann ended up doing my nails and was done around 7:40pm, not only did she rush, but the quality of work was not worth $43.00 (SNS & nail repair), and she caused my pinky to bleed from moving so quickly (she then used the SNS nail polish to stop it from bleeding).
I feel extremely hurt, embarrassed, and disappointed by the lack of respect displayed by a business in a town I love so dearly. I also believe their was a bit of discrimination towards me, obviously because of the color of my skin, as the white lady that sat beside me was spoken to very politely and was treated with respect.
I will not be coming back, and I also reported Dream Nails (Michelle L Pham, Tommy (which I doubt is his real name), Kim, And Ann) to the better business bureau.
Learn to respect EVERYONEâS time and...
Read moreI went into (Dream Nails, LLC) for my appointment to get a Gel polish change on my finger nails and a pedicure with gel polish. I picked out a color and Nail Tech (Lisa) worked on my nails. I was asked to choose a different nail color 4 different times because all of the colors I chose, they did not have them in stock or did not carry them anymore? When I questioned them why are they displaying that they have these colors for the customers to choose from, but they are not in stock or don't carry them anymore, Nail Tech ( Lisa) told me I was not (easy). I asked her what did she mean by saying to me, I was not easy? She told me that I was hard to work with and they were scared to do my nails. I told her we all just sat here in this Nail shop and witnessed an older white woman who talked to one of the Nail Tech's 15 minutes ago like she was less of a human being because she did not want to wait her turn to get her nails done, but none of the employees nor customers said anything or helped this poor Nail Tech. But when I as a (african american) woman question my (customer service experience) that I am receiving? My character get attacked? Prejudice from other race need to stop for real. I told that nail tech (Lisa) I will never step foot back into that establishment ever again đ€. People of color lest take our hard-earned money somewhere else where we are appreciated, can voice our respectful and intelligent opinion and don't have to be judged or have our character attacked in front of other customers. Lest take our business somewhere else, we don't have to be (easy) to please anyone we are paying our hard-earned money to to receive service who should be making every effort to please us.
NEW REVIEW 06/22/23 How come every time someone leave a bad review, management come and write a review saying that the customer is lying, making up false information or at fault. I looked at all of the other bad review comments for Dream Nails, LLC and the owner go on the person's comment and say that the customer was in the wrong to make their business look good or to cover up what really happened to you. Management was not present at the time of this incident to even be making a comment on what happened to me at their establishment. One thing I learned in life and its one thing I will never forget. People who have to always find a way to explain themselves or say that everybody else is in the wrong, will always tell on themselves. I am going to let God take control from here. The Bible tell us to bless people who hurt us. Have...
Read moreThis was my first time coming here, and I was a walk-in, (walk-ins are accepted as are appointments per their website). I had asked for a simple service*, a basic manicure that would not have taken long to do. (I wanted to relax a few minutes and have a little me time). They didnât appear to be super busy, and if they were, they should have at the very least, let me know that they may not be able to help me, so I could decide if I wanted to wait or return another day. Nope, nothing.
Now, there were plenty of staff to accommodate me, and my request was met with less than an enthusiastic response that you would expect a proprietor to give; It was as if they didnât have the time to be bothered. I was asked to sit at a work station and choose a color- from one- single- book . No other option was offered to look at and I didnât want to ask and bother anyone at this point, so I looked at the book, with all of the different pretty color options- matte, shiny, etc.
I waited, and waitedâŠ.Looked around and Nothing. No acknowledgment of me being there still waiting. I mean, not so much as a question as to my choice of nail color.
So, in the interest of my peace and sanity, I decided to get up and leave. Because who wants to feel rushed when youâre getting your nails done - no one. No one likes rush jobs and then be unhappy with the way your nails look.
Now, Iâm hoping that I am wrong about what happened, maybe it was a rough day, I donât know. It just didnât feel right, ya know the vibe, like it was just going to be a less than pleasant experience.
So I may decide to go another day, and see if itâs a better experience, and then I can decide if I want to give a better rating and review. But for now, itâs a 2 star review. Better luck next time, I hope.
I didnât select a service below, because well, you did just read my review, so it...
