We picked up our first modern board game here (Wingspan). It was the same price as Amazon and supports a local business. Although all the pieces and instructions were overwhelming at first, a YouTube video explained it in 15 minutes and we really enjoyed it. There were people gathering to play other games at the store. There are other nearby shops as well, so worth at least popping in. They didn't really have any board games for really young children except for maybe candy land. It was mostly geared toward age 12+ games. I would have liked if there was someone passionate about board games there who could have offered us some advice as we walked in circles, but fortunately I had done a bit of research on the game I wanted before arriving.

Its so awesome to have such a great Modern Board Gaming store in Gastonia. The modern age of board gaming is a growing market and the demand for better games than what Hasbro/Milton Bradley offers is increasing. Time to get the kids off-line and engaged in a table top board game. We enjoy playing one of their dozens of available demo games in the play room. They also carry X-Wing, Warhammer, and Magic the Gathering.

Bought a MTG Booster Box from this store and not only did it arrive ahead of schedule, it was carefully packaged and came with a hand written thank you note. Pair this with having the best price anywhere I could find and I'm hooked as a returning customer. Can't wait to buy from them again!

I meant to post this forever ago, but I figured better late than never!

My friend and I made the trip down to this store from about 60-80 minutes away and were blown away by how nice the store and play area were. Everything was clean, organized, and the play area was very warm and inviting. One of the first things I noticed was the high quality tables and chairs. You will not be finding cheap plastic fold-outs at this store!

We were there for the first Disney Lorcana pre-release and had pre-ordered our event ticket online. They had everything everyone needed organized in paper bags with names on them, which was a neat way of doing a TCG pre-release that I hadn't seen before. Very orderly and well-managed. The tournament ran super smoothly and the owner played a video on their television screen to demo the game's ruleset for those that were unfamiliar.

The store's vibe was very family-friendly and laid back. Not crass and vulgar, but definitely not uptight either. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a professional TCG store! I look forward to editing my review with some photos once my friend and...

Victory Point Games has everything it takes to be a great local gaming store: a great selection of product (from board games, to Warhammer, to collectible trading cards), a clean and organized environment, and a fantastic space for gamers of all stripes to convene and collaborate.

Most important of all, Victory Point has something which other stores which have all of the above do not, and that is tremendous customer service. From years of shopping experience I've learned that it is the people which set a place apart from its competitors, and Victory Point has a great staff who have always been friendly and willing to do whatever it takes to meet my needs.

If you don't go here to shop, you're simply cheating yourself out of the opportunity to meet some great people, support a local business, and have...
