I was switching carriers due to being yanked around StraightTalk and out of my mind annoyed with their poor phone service and incompetent and untruthful customer service. My previous phone stopped working one day. Not knowing if it was a device or a service issue, I contacted StraightTalk and proceeded to waste about six hours of my time on hold talking to multiple people, wasting gas going to the store for a new sim card, after all that they "guaranteed" my issue was not caused by my device but a service issue and it should be good to go in about four hours, aka the middle of the night. I told them, OK, if my phone doesn't work tomorrow I am DONE with StraightTalk. Guess what? My phone never worked again. I went into the Batavia T-Mobile store the next day after some research on plans and such. I have friends who have used T-Mobile for years and had little issue. I got my plan set up and my devices chosen. We go to get the authorization to port my number from StraightTalk to T-Mobile and the mess began. StraightTalk was the farthest thing from helpful. They apparently are too incompetent to send an email and they can't figure out how to port without the old device working. I refused to buy a new StraightTalk device just to get MY phone number on my new service. I was on the phone in the store and on my own time for over 24 hours dealing with the stupidity that is StraightTalk. They wasted my time, energy, and cost me MONEY. I was determined to get it done as my final day of service was here and I refused to give StraightTalk another penny.
THANKFULLY, Hannah in the final hour was able to figure out a work around that got me my phone number back. I worked with most of the employees (Phoenix, Leslie, Whitney(?), and another) and everyone was great. We got all my numbers transferred and I haven't had any issues since I have been on T-Mobile, about two months now.
I will be heading to the store for a new screen protector as I have already busted mine. Glad I have access to a team that knows what they are doing and are happy to help!
I appreciate all the patience and assistance I was given as I was beyond stressed at...
Read moreIf I could leave a negative review I would. Went in yesterday to purchase q phone charger. A type c phone charger. Wasnt greeted by anyone upon walking in. The two women who were behind the counter completely ignored me as I walked in until I prompted them. I asked for a charger and they both looked at each other and one went to grab one. She came back with one charger that was a type c but had the port on both sides and did not have the part on the charger that plugs into the charging box. I told her I wanted one that plugged into the charging box so she went back and grabbed a different one. I paid and told them that they had really awful attitudes, like if you hate your job that much....anyways get to the car, and she didn't give me a type c charger. I go back in tell them jts the wrong charger she proceeds to tell me that it was my fault because I chose that one. I told her I chose the one that had the USB part but still needed it to be a type c. Like just because I need a USB port part doesn't mean give me some random charger....I told her to just return the charger because they were being so awful and negative I didn't even want it anymore. She told me that was fine. Them proceeded to tell me I would have to pay a restocking fee to return the charger. Why would I pay for your mistake.....told her to keep the charger and the money and left. Literally the worst experience I've ever had. Poor poor lonely women. They need to be fired. One was a manager im sure....
Read moreI have had great experiences in many Tmobile stores, but the customer service in this store is the worst that I have ever seen. The employees seem to worry about their own phones more than the customers. I was told I qualify for a promotion of 3 trackers, but the store was out of them, and I could get them shipped to my house. Two days later, I called the store to check on the order, but the order was never placed. But I'm told that I need to check for an email and it's my fault that they didn't get shipped. An email that I never received by the way because the order wasn't placed. Oh, but the store has them now, so I can come pick them up if I want. Then I say no thank you and refund my activation fee but they refused to do that. Thank God for Tmobile customer service. They refunded my money and took care of my issue. AVOID THIS STORE AND THESE UNPROFESSIONAL KIDS...
