Generally I love Burrito Parilla. I prefer to go to the West Chicago location but occasionally go to the one in Batavia if it is more convenient and I am over that way. The three stars is for the Batavia location. I love the carnitas and the white poblano sauce is delicious. For the other meats I have had better elsewhere. The grilled veggies are good but way to chunky to be putting in a taco. I got 2 peices of veg and they wouldn't stay in because the chunks were so big! I had to eat the veggies and the tortilla separately. I ordered my son a jr. burrito with beef extra cheese very easy on the lettuce and beans. What I got was a jr beef burrito with very little cheese and extra lettuce and beans. Child only ate half of it after having to try to dissect it a bit. The person taking my order seemed as if he were in a hurry to end my order and kept saying is that it, is that it, is that it sometimes before I had finished the last word of what I was saying. My husband's chicken burrito also mostly ended up in the trash because the chicken was dry and hard 🤢 Why hard? The chips were on the way to being stale but the guacamole was good. The rest of the order was fine but on the cold side when I got it home which isn't very far. If this rating was for the West Chicago location I would give it 5 stars. The people who work there are always super nice and make you feel welcome. The food is always delicious from there and still hot when I get it home. The chicken is tender and juicy and the chips are always fresh. I will continue to go to the West Chicago location for my fix but I am done with the Batavia store,...
Read moreBurrito was sub par at best. Asked for no beans they made it with beans and slapped a piece of cheese on top and called that suiza style. GROSS. Two tacos tortillas were literally dripping in juice. Corn tortillas simply fell apart. GROSS! I placed my order online thinking it would alleviate any possible kitchen stress. Order said I would be ready in 15. I got their intentionally late to stand inside for 20 as I watched them completely cook my order. The cooks we confused on the burrito order and asked the girl on their expo line what it was and how to make it. Instead of the expo asking the customer standing 5ft away she said the wrong thing. Therefore telling the cooks to make it incorrectly. The cooks you could tell we’re hustling and there helper was as well. The girl on the final expo was completely off. Needs a little lesson in customer service. I also left a tip. My first time eating at burrito parilla and I’ll be happy to dine again at SALSA...
Read moreI've only been to this location once for their soft opening but the food was the same excellent quality/taste as the other locations I've been to (Lisle, Lombard and Naperville). Since it was the soft opening the place was a little crazy but I had more issues with rude customers then I did the employees. They make the flour tortillas which are little clouds of heaven. I'm not sure if the corn tortillas are homemade. One reviewer said the salsa tastes like tomato sauce but I disagree, Taco Madre's salsa is tomato sauce. It's not the signature dish but it is good; keep in mind it's not pico de gallo, it's salsa. The steak has a great marinade which makes it tender and good smoke flavor. The carnitas is super tender and delicious. The avocado salsa is creamy and spicy. I've been to a lot of Mexican restaurants and I would say Burrito Parrilla is consistently good with high quality ingredients; hopefully the Batavia location...
