Brought my 3 year old son to check out some of the old beat up toys - we walked around for about 10 minutes- my husband and I were with my son the entirety of the time. My son picked a few things up- put them back in the place he got them from. In the 10 minutes we were there a grumpy employee barked an another shopper âThat part isnât open back there!â The lady apologized and moved on without another word from employee. Then my husband and son were touching rusty old trucks and I hear from the other side of the store âDONT TOUCH THOSE TRUCKSâ. So if you have kids or donât know which part of the store is open or not - I wouldnât go there. Super rude and put the things down I was going to buy because I donât support businesses...
   Read moreI went in there today 8/15/18. They had some interesting items. There was nothing that couldn't be easily found on E-bay. One star because I had to listen to the guy, with a Franks Toybox T-shirt, loudly and extensively complain about a local alcoholic begging for drinks and places to stay. I learned about the Frank's employee's frustrations with this guy. This was much more local color than I needed to know. Although there were about ten (potential) customers wandering the store, no effort was made to interact with them, or make a sale.    Read moreWhile celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary, my husband and I were at Frank's Toybox at Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio (Lake Erie). The shop owner says he bought this item (and a few others like it) from the guy who made it; it is painted on wood and perfectly detailed. Apparently, the man who created this unique piece once worked for Nabisco -- I think he did some artwork for the company. I just absolutely love it! I wasn't going to buy it because it was way out of my range, but the shop owner wanted me to have an anniversary present so he made it happen for me -- so very nice of him!
