I really wanted to love this place…. I took my daughter here for her 30th birthday for a spa day.
It started out good, Our facials were amazing. I was slightly disappointed that they weren’t together in the same place so we could chat But that wasn’t meant to be. After the facials is when it started going wrong.
The Women doing our facials advised that instead of waiting until 2 PM For our massages, They were going to be able to take us right after our facials. They gave us robes to put on and just sit in the waiting area. My robe was a little small, I am a little chubby. There were three other women in this waiting area, not in robes so I was very uncomfortable. We waited over an hour For the massages. Then walked to young men To do our massages. I was told it would be a man doing my massage . I was even more uncomfortable.
I paid $149 each for a hot stone massage And Both of us were fairly disappointed. They use so much massage oil instead of being able to finish our girls day. We had to go home and shower. My Massage therapist Became obviously irritated with me because when I was asked to turn over To be facedown on the bed, I turned the wrong way and unraveled his sheet. He was not overly about it, Again, creating discomfort for me. The hot towels they used were like warm at best. It was just overall an underwhelming experience.
Then it was time to leave, In multiple correspondences from this business, they said they had a contactless checkout. All information stated they charge the card that we made a deposit on, And added a 20% gratuity. So as I was walking out the door, Receptionist talked across the front lobby Asking if I wanted to leave a gratuity. And if I wanted her to charge the card on file. There were other customers in the lobby, and I was very embarrassed. Why would you ask that if it was a contactless check out? I simply asked if she could email me, but I never got. I had to send an email a week later. In that email detailed how unsatisfied I was with my experience And have yet to hear from a single soul At this business.
I won’t be back, I have told several people about the experience. I will not recommend this...
Read moreFor our visit at the Inn I had booked the Babymoon package which includes a couples/pregnancy massage. One thing you may want to specify is whether you want your massage in the same room or separate as that is an option. They did a typical relaxation massage on my husband & as I'm pregnant had it slightly different with support of a pregnancy pillow for me. This massage package deal includes the hydrating foot treatment which is a foot massage and warm towel wrap which is a great treat for someone who is on their feet a lot. Also their tangerine massage oil is not in any way overpowering in scent for anyone worried on smell, it was a pleasant subtle scent. The gentleman who worked on me did a great job and started/focused on my neck, shoulders and tight spots which could potentially be too much pressure for some so do be sure to let the person working on you know if it's too much, for myself it was just right. Don't be hesitant on communicating if you need more or less pressure and, when you book, your preference of a man or woman to ensure your best massage experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my time and felt like melting afterwards it was that good. Having a massage as your stay is coming to end is something I would suggest as a great way to relax & relieve tension from all the walking you'll...
Read moreWould not recommend this place to friends or family. Massage therapists did not come off as professionals and the massages received were weird. There was no explanation on the website of the “relaxation” vs the “deep tissue” and then neither therapist explained the process or did anything to make us feel comfortable upon arrival. I got the relaxation massage which consisted of MAYBE 5-7 minutes out of 60 focused on my back. It was just all around weird and we both just wanted it to be over - NOT the feeling you want to have during a massage! At the end, the woman checking us out said “I just went ahead and added the 20% gratuity to your services” which I found to be a little odd. I have never not tipped 20% (or more) but being told vs asked did not sit well with me. Typically, I prefer to be asked about my experience and then asked what I would like to tip. Super awkward all around and a total waste of money. Don’t even get me started on the experience beforehand on their patio trying to get wine and a snack. This place all around lacks communication amongst their team and with...
