Very poor bridal policy as well as customer service. Bella Vita requires their brides to buy the china that’s not purchased from their bridal registry. Most items in the bridal registry are not in stock and the brides guest are ask to deliver their bridal gift with a gift card. My granddaughter received some china through shipping and was delivered broken upon delivery. She was told by Bella Vita they do not replace broken products and that it was up to her to file a damage claim with the package carrier and she would have to re-purchase the broken china. I needed two sets of china for Christmas settings and was told I would have to purchase the china and the clerk would check for availability with the supplier on the next Monday for a delivery time. If the china was not available I could receive a refund. I explained time was of the essence that they confirm the ETA for delivery as I had a short window to continue to shop for the products I needed. I never received a follow up call nor was the phone answered when I called several days that next week leaving messages of my concerns. My call was finally answered the next Friday, almost a week later, but still received no confirmation. I was promised a call back that same day but never received the call and instead an unexpected email still with no information. The next day my husband called and requested the refund of $700+ that was in writing on my receipt and the extremely rude and unprofessional owner replied she was too busy to deal with our situation and WE would need to call back when she wasn’t so busy. I Recommend you shop with one of the many other gift and bridal shops where you are appreciated as a valued customer. Read moreThe selection of tableware, place settings, serve ware we encountered when we arrived for our registry appointment at Bella Vita are unrivaled. They have everything from everyday to formal, all the serve ware you would want, everything for entertaining. The selection appointment is fun, personalized, and very concierge, which was a fun way to celebrate being engaged and made me happy to register there. The home delivery is also amazing if you live local. However, the required “close-out” appointment that must happen within 30 days of your wedding was frustrating. You are required to track all gifts bought or not bought, and any outstanding items. There is no online gift-tracking like most registries that help keep track of who purchased what and the online registry will not tell you how many you requested in the first place if the full purchase was completed (I learned they have this on the backend after I spent hours inventorying myself, so maybe ask for it). You have to do all the legwork to track this, fill out their forms, and get reminded that “there is a lot of back-end work that has to be audited and reconciled and it takes time...sometimes A LOT of time” on their part to finish your registry. As someone who does not live locally anymore, the required physical inventorying, form completion, and trip to Memphis to fulfill their requirements made it more of a burden than of joy. Prior to our appointment, Julie reached out to learn a bit more about us as a couple as well as our taste and preferences for everyday place settings, serving pieces and anything else fun to add. The most fun part began when we showed up for our in-person registry appointment! Not only were we greeted with the warmest welcome, but also rose for me and an old-fashioned for my fiance! How great is that?! I wasn't sure how involved my fiance would want to be with selecting our pieces but he was hooked after being greeted with his favorite drink and the super fun environment Julie created for us as we learned about each setting and how it worked with our style as a couple. She was so patient with us, gave the best advice and helped us put together a registry I love and adore so much! We still talk about how much fun that appointment was and what a great memory Bella Vita created for us as we start to collect all of the beautiful pieces we picked out. Even after our appointment, as I go back to the store for hostess gifts and to retrieve wedding presents, I feel so welcomed and taken care of by the whole Bella Vita team.
