Memphis Pizza Cafe — Restaurant in Germantown

I have bought pizza from the Germantown location for years. I called from my business at 4:00 to ensure I would be able to pick up 4 pizzas at 5:00, as I had a house full of people coming. When I arrived at 5:00, the pizzas were not ready, although the person I spoke with said they would be ready for pick up at 5:00. After paying for them and asking about them twice when they would be ready, I began to feel angry and told them I really needed my pizzas and to leave. A young, very unprofessional male with a baseball cap on backwards said- “I don’t care.” He told me he was the manager when I asked. I asked his name. He said- “It is none of your business.” I also told him I had called an hour beforehand to ensure they be ready, since I was very pressed for time. He told me he couldn’t do anything about it. He was extremely rude and disrespectful and never once apologized for not having them ready. The entire group behind the counter were swaying to music and could not care less as I stood at the counter. I was appalled that he would talk to a customer the way he did and not even apologize I will never spend 1 more cent at this place, although my family and I have literally spent hundreds of dollars at this restaurant...

Excellent pizza! Top notch quality and taste. This pizza was excellent and deserves the 5 stars. The reviews didn’t let us down.

However, the location didn’t quite fit. It looks like the space was used for something more upscale and then the pizza moved in. Place needs a good cleaning and painting. Blinds don’t fit the windows. Super cute panoramic painting with sloppily painted ends. The bathroom was GROSS. Needs to be cleaned and loved on.

So paint the ceilings. Order window coverings that fit. Choose a new color scheme and paint the walls. Clean up the trim. Put some inexpensive wood tops on the tables and get rid of those gross tablecloths. Eventually get new chairs. They can be cheap, just update them. Maybe paint that tile floor.

The bathroom looks like you need a good cleanser you can spray on that will help clean up all the gunk going on. The bathroom did smell good. 👍🏼👍🏼 And...

I have never had a bad experience at this Memphis Pizza Café, and that is probably over 100 visits over the years. We were back in town visiting friends and decided to go again. My wife and I have a go-to pizza order with Cajun chicken, onion and black olives. I also start with a half Greek salad. As usual, the salad was fresh and crisp with a generous amount of peperoni and feta. The dressing is on the side so you can use as much as you want. And the pizza was hot and perfectly cooked. The pizza here is cracker thin and crispy. The sauce is not heavy on it, nor is it over cheesed. That means the toppings flavors come out like they should, and they go as close to the edge as they can without falling off. This is my favorite pizza. Service is always fast, even when the restaurant is jammed. I highly recommend Memphis Pizza Café, particularly this location or the one in Memphis...
