After searching the Puget Sound north and south I discovered the answer to my desperate search was right in my town. Eric at Gig Harbor Audio did not hesitate a second when I asked if they worked on Bang and Olufsen equipment. His response was “We specialize in it.” Obviously, they do. My Beogram 4002 turntable was in need of some expertise beyond my own. Eric kept me updated on the repair progress as his tech crew diagnosed the problem. He even sent me a video of its performance after repaired. This shop is truly a local gem but would be well worth any drive knowing that your treasured vintage audio components will be handled by professionals that treat you like you are the most important customer. I’m a business owner and a passionate audiophile of modest means. Erik did not ask me to write a review - my experiences there have been so exceptional that this review is the least I could do. Erik and his team are extremely knowledgeable, passionate, super friendly, provide over the top customer service and are just down to earth good people. I had spent some money on a demo turntable elsewhere and they took it in, spent a ton of time answering all of my questions, tuned up all of the turntable settings, fixed a ground issue I had thought was “normal” and my mind is blown by how good my turntable sounds now that I have it back home. Prepare too to have your mind blown and your jaw drop when you hear the sound from all the varied audio components in this small but not lacking audiophile’s dream of a shop. This has to be the worst store I've ever been in. Treated me and my son horribly. They are totally unknowledgeable about everything. All they care about is making a sale. Run as fast as you can. They are horrible and I believe dishonest. They want to sell anything they can to you. The owner is a real jerk. Not sure how they get good ratings. They probably write them, themselves. Totally stay away from this so-called stereo business. Probably the worst stereo shop on the planet. Heard this from others as well. Heard they write their own reviews. Zero stars.
