This salon and spa is amazing. I have been a client since August 2015, and I go in pretty much weekly now. I can't praise Jax enough. I have never felt so comfortable in another salon or spa.

Even just the atmosphere in the building is relaxing and peaceful - I can be having a horrible day, be in a wretched mood, or be completely stressed out, and I can feel myself calm down from the minute I walk through that door. By the time I leave, I have a totally different perspective on the day.

The staff -every one- are friendly, warm, and helpful. I have never once felt judged or self conscious in Jax, and I have more than a few self esteem issues - these amazing people have been nothing but nurturing and supportive. From the reception counter to the owner, himself, I have felt welcomed, valued, cared about, and even embraced. That's so rare for an establishment of this caliber.

The services and products offered are fantastic. Emily cuts, styles, and colors my hair, and my very curly hair has gone from being dry, frizzy, and extremely hard to manage, let alone look good, to hydrated, healthy looking, and ridiculously easy to manage and style since the first time she cut and colored my hair. Jessica has been doing my facials and helped me figure out a skin care routine for my problematic skin - my rosacea is now completely gone, my dry, scaly skin is soft and moisturized, and my skin tone has evened out. Her facials are life-altering. Mechala has been giving me Elemental Nature Massages just about weekly, and she is magical - she really knows her craft and is so in tune with her clients needs, applying the perfect amount of pressure and even distraction for when she's working on those pesky knots. Her work on my back has been extremely therapeutic. Feloria threads my eyebrows, and does a wonderful job - I've never had anyone put that much care into my eyebrows, and it really shows. I just had my first pedicure with Mackenzie yesterday, and it was hands down the best pedicure I've ever had - again, I've never had someone so details-oriented work on my feet. Honestly, I wouldn't hesitate to receive services from anyone at Jax. Every person there is extremely talented, well trained and educated in their work, and most importantly, care about their clients' happiness and well being.

Every product I've bought at Jax - Aveda - I have absolutely loved. It has changed my life for the better. Every scent is amazing, and as someone who has a lot of trouble with perfumes, that I've never had a problem with any of their scents ought to say something. Not to mention, Aveda products are environmentally friendly and responsible, their ingredients organic.

I have gotten my leg sugared by an esthetician that was there in the past she was very good. She actually even had me look my legs over to make sure she got everything. She knew that the lighting in the room was pretty bad. Since then she has left and there is a new esthetician. I’m not totally blaming the issue on her, but we switch to waxing instead of sugaring. The lighting is horrible in the room. . I have gotten them waxed three times since the new esthetician started and have not been happy with any of the times I end up shaving some of my legs because there’s batches of hair that was missed. The owner needs to get new lighting in the room, so The esthetician can see better. I am not sure that I want to go back another time for this reason I feel like I need to shave my legs as soon as I arrive home. . If I do keep my next appointment I may have to make a point and walk in with my lamp from my family room. Again, I do not blame the esthetician. I blame the lighting in the room that is not provided for...
