Fry's Pharmacy — Local services in Gilbert

The only reason that I’m giving this one star is because my experience with the rest of the staff the first time I came here, was pleasant.

I came here earlier today to pick up two medications but I could not do so because their systems were down. The staff apologize for the inconvenience and said to call later on and hopefully the systems will be back up. Later on, I called prior to taking the drive and was told that all but one medication was ready because it was too early for them to fill it. This confuse me as the medication has been on hold since Friday and I was aware of my pick up date. I expressed to the pharmacist that the date has been pending since Friday. The pharmacist’s tone then shifted and she stated that my provider put the date in for the fifth and there was nothing that could be done; I picked up the medication’s on the 30th so the 5th is the date that I can pick it up and there’s nothing that they can do about it. I told her that there was only a five day supply and January has 31 days. She responded to this in a very nasty tone stating that “it is an opioid medication; There’s nothing that she can do. She can’t just release things to me. It’s the law.” I asked her who do I call then; my provider? She said no I “just come pick up the medication tomorrow when it’s time for you to pick it up.” I asked for clarification on who changed the date because online it just said that… before I could finish, she interrupted me and said “don’t worry about what’s online all you need to know is that the fifth is the date that it’s going to be released” and I can come pick it up at that time.; now I have to go. It will be ready Tomorrow bye”.

As upset as I was, I sent messages to my provider inquiring with then about the dates. Perhaps something was wrong with me and I just should have enough medication for seven days instead since I was told that “my provider put in a release date of the fifth.”

As I was expressing how aggravated I was that the pharmacist was obviously dead wrong and WITH NERVE, rude about it , I received a call from the same pharmacist… “yeah we just spoke; I looked further into it because the days didn’t make sense to me either and yeah…your prescription is ready because the days… this time I WAS THE ONE INTERRUPTING “I TRIED TO TELL YOU JANUARY HAD 31 days! Are your going to apologize because you were very rude…WRONG AND RUDE with a very nasty attitude for no reason…” she began was talking over with me again stating “yeah yeah, yeah, I do I do I do I do”.

Now was that supposed to be AN APOLOGY?? The even bigger problem is the fact that the very first thing she said was that “MY PROVIDER put a release date of the fifth”. And it’s clear as day that she was LYING!!

Also, when I looked online when she was telling me this initially, the RELEASE DATE CHANGED from the 4th, to THE 5th, to READY. So that tells me that whatever date OUR PROVIDERS prescribe IS IRRELEVANT! They don’t control anything…THE PHARMACIST DO!

Now how am I supposed to trust the pharmacy that has pharmacist working there without integrity? Aside from the rude behavior from another adult who obviously does not know how to be accountable when they’re wrong ; I have a blood deficiency that requires for me to avoid many different drugs. If my pharmacy is filled with pharmacists who do not have integrity, do not listen to me when I’m trying to explain things to him/her and does not know how to hold themselves accountable, AS I WOULD EXPECT A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL TO DO, then it would behoove of me to fill my prescriptions at a pharmacy, where the pharmacists does.

To put the icing on the cake when I went to pick up this prescription, the pharmacist has the nerve to be standoffish, as if I did something wrong to HER!!...

All pharmacists are very good and Dr. Naimil Patel is the very best . Very responsible , friendly , quick and very very respectful .

Only reason for 2 stars ( and not 5 stars) is there is this one young lady name JAY works there . She is extremely extremely rude, abrupt, totally not friendly nor customer oriented, disrespectful , very very arrogant and severe attitude( not sure why ?). I do not think she belongs there . Please replace her with better employee in my opinion . Thank you

All pharmacists are great ! Very helpful, polite and friendly. Dr. Naimil Patel is the best of that bunch

This Fry's pharmacy is our drug store of choice but every time we come to pick up our Rx and if this lady working , same terrible experience...

I love Frys pharmacy. The first time I used them to fill a prescription they took the time to call my doctor and get my prescription changed to a more affordable brand that works just as well. My cost dropped from $350 every 2 months for two prescriptions to $150 every 2 months. Walgreens never did...
