El Rancho Foods — Local services in Gilroy

I like to come here for bathroom paper. I used to buy it at Costco but I stopped going to Costco because it was so expensive but at this place El Rancho, they sell Kirkland toilet paper probably like two dollars more but I mean it probably cost that in Costco too. I haven’t been there in so long but now I don’t have to have anybody get it for me when they go to Costco. I just go into the store right here and they have it very convenient for me. Produce is always fresh and it’s a little bit different than all the other produce around probably a little fresher, and even if some things are a little pricier, I like the freshness I don’t like wilted leaves. I never find anything wilted in the store. Convenient it’s just right down the street from where I live. Great story to just go...

They are finally open! We went in today and found some good deals and some higher prices on foods.

Their meat department looks really clean and they have a great selection to pick from. They don't have carne preparada unless you ask them to do it for you. This is kind of odd as the meat isn't marinating for a long time in the seasonings this way, but I will try it!

They have a little hot food section also but it isn't open yet. If you are from the area, you will remember the last store there had that little taqueria inside of it and they had the BEST breakfast burritos there. Not sure if they are going to be the same people,...

I don't know what all these reviews are about but how disappointing. The tacos are straight trash. Cold tortillas, cold meats, only good thing was the salsa it kind if spicy, that's it. Where was the guacamole on these estilo Tijuana tacos? Went because I saw them online and thought to try them out all the way from Santa clara. La parrilla loca is where I will stick too for my tacos estilo Tijuana even though they in Oakland! Hope Tacos Tijuana sees this and steps their game up BIG TIME!
