United States Postal Service — Local services in Glendale Heights

The Glendale Heights post office is a joke!! I tried to call and the electronic recording said it was a 40-50 minute wait to speak with an agent--absolutely unacceptable. Where is the customer service. I have had an issue with receiving packages through the US mail. My mailbox is part of a communal set up. My box is private but packages are put into a locked parcel box and a key is then placed in my mailbox. Unfortunately the key to the parcel box does not open the box from the customer side. I have left many, many, many many notes for the carrier informing he/she of this issue. Nothing has ever been done. It is the post office's responsibility to maintain the mailboxes. Since I am unable to open the box with the supplied key, receipt of my packages is always delayed. .the post office wonders why mail volumes and revenue are decreasing--- it is clearly a matter of non existent...

Literally the worst post office. They have lost several of my packages. Once had my package say it was “tendered to military” for delivery. I lived in apartment complex. I called and spoke with a supervisor at the post office who asked me if I lived on a military base…despite her having my address in Glendale heights with the apt number. She said she would follow up on it and get back to me. She never got back to me. And every time I called she was never available, conveniently. Pretty sure the delivery person just stole my package? Also, I’ve had multiple packages that show that they’re out for delivery when I track it…only for it to return to the post office later that day or the next morning without being delivered. And this will go on for DAYS before my package actually gets delivered. I literally don’t know what...

Every time I order a package and it has to go through this facility to get to me, the tracking number stops getting updates when it arrives here and just says "in transit." This has happened 3 times in the last 6 months.

The last time this happened, I had a package stuck at this facility for over a month. No change was made until I completed a lost package form. Then the package was finally delivered.

My most recent package hasn't had an update to "in transit" in 25 days. The next step is "out for delivery"... How hard is it? Why has my package been sitting in this facility for 25 days? I completed a lost package form and there hasn't been an update in a full week. And I have the text/email notifications on. I'm not sure what more I can do...
