I absolutely love Shibam in Glendale Heights. It’s hands down one of new my favorite spots. The ambiance is stunning. From the cozy seating to the overall vibe, the space just feels peaceful, inviting, and aesthetic. Honestly, that’s one of the main reasons I keep going back. It’s such a mood-lifter. Whether I’m there with friends hanging out for hours or just dropping in for a late-night treat, it always hits the spot.
The strawberry mojito, chicken samosa, and Dubai chocolate cheesecake are my go to fave items. So good every single time!! I love that the place is open late too. Sometimes it’s way easier to head out at night, and this place makes that possible.
Oh and the best part, they have a lovely namaz (prayer area) that is clean and beautiful. This is great because everyone needs to step away for namaz, and they make it convenient and easy. They also have a wonderful wazu station by the bathroom. Makes it easy for people to make wadu and pray in the separate namaz area that’s off to the side with doors, so it’s private and to the side. Amazing amazing add on! May Allah give this cafe Barakah and bless the owner in abundance!!
More on customer service, so.. what makes the experience even better is the customer service. Daim, the server who’s usually there, is always so happy, helpful, and positive. He’s smiling while taking care of everything. Even when he’s cleaning, he looks like he’s genuinely happy to be there, and that says a lot. It’s rare and honestly so refreshing to see employees who enjoy their work like that.
Last night I brought my parents for the first time, and we were all so impressed. The owner actually recognized my dad and came over to greet him. He was incredibly humble and kind. That small gesture really stood out to us. You can tell the people who run this place care about creating a welcoming space for everyone.
Even though I live in Lombard and it’s about a 20-minute drive, I still keep going back and will continue to. Shibam has everything I love.. beautiful atmosphere, tasty drinks and snacks, late-night hours, and amazing service. Thank you for consistently giving such a...
Read more⭐ 1/5 — Extremely Disappointing Experience
We tried Shibammm Coffee Shop today, and it was honestly one of the most disappointing food experiences I’ve had in a long time. Everything we ordered — from the croissant chapli to the chicken coffee — was served cold, tasteless, and smelled off. They mentioned they would warm it up beforehand, but that never happened.
Even the latte and Aden chai were bad — completely lacking flavor and freshness. We also ordered dessert; I initially asked for Nutella cheesecake, but they convinced me to try their “new” berry cake — what arrived instead was a strawberry cheesecake, dry, bland, and nothing like what was promised.
At that point, after tasting everything, we couldn’t continue and left most of the food uneaten. It felt like a total waste of money. Sadly, it’s made me hesitant to try any more of these new “Middle Eastern” spots popping up around Chicagoland lately — too many are serving stale or spoiled food.
This is supposed to be a brand-new coffee shop, but serving spoiled food to customers is absolutely ridiculous. The cakes and dishes displayed in the front are clearly just for show — what they actually serve is stale, cold, and inedible.
You don’t have to serve fancy food, but at least don’t serve bad or spoiled food. What if someone actually gets sick eating this? Do the people working here even taste what they’re serving? It’s scary to think they’re taking customers’ money and risking their health.
The staff also seemed careless and rude, with no concern for the quality or experience. For a new place, this is the worst impression you could possibly make. Never coming back — total waste of money and a serious concern for...
Read moreOk, first of all with the prices you charge please for the love of Allah turn on the AC. Today it was 91 degrees outside and 101 inside. Clearly as typical desi/Muslim restaurant trying to nickel and dime. It is not a good look especially as a brand new restaurant.
2nd, and this probably goes for many other places as well, stop just stop milking the Dubai chocolate hype. I am ok with if you want to call your items Dubai chocolate. Fine. But after charging us the regular $7 and $9 they also charged us $1 surcharge on both items as dine in fee. When we asked them why we are being charged this, they informed us that because we ordered the Dubai chocolate items we are charging extra for those because they are “imported”. Why not just put that into the price then?
3rd relating to my second point , there is no way in Jahnum or Janat that you imported the “Dubai cake” from Dubai. If you can prove it, i will personally upload a reel with that food with Ibrahim dude admitting my mistake. Btw how is that Dubai chocolate milk cake? You have a piece of regular chocolate cake with some pistachio sprinkled on top. That is not what Dubai chocolate craze was about. Lot of grocery stores even jewel sells knock off versions of Dubai chocolate now. If you want I can bring you a sample from there. I don’t care what you want to call your food, but please stop lying that the a reg piece of chocolate cake is imported from Dubai. Just to make $1, it will make you a few dollars at first but eventually it will rub people the wrong way and turn them off from trying your...
