I wasn't going to write this review, but after being ghosted by this company I've changed my mind. I received services from this establishment about a year ago. I purchased an above range microwave and they did a dryer repair. I was dealing with Nick the entire time and he was a pretty nice guy. He came to my home to look at the dryer and said it was the motherboard so he stated he needed to take the dryer into the shop for repairing. Fast-forward to bringing the dryer back and it still doesn't work, he also had a tester to test the outlet to see if there was a problem there, but he said it was fine. I was charged $375 and the dryer still wasn't working at my home, but they sent me a video from their shop showing differently. I ultimately called an electrician which solved the problem. It actually was the outlet and according to the electrician the motherboard on my dryer was never changed. In spite of me feeling like they ripped me off I was willing to give them another chance. I've reached out to them twice since then regarding some repairs I was in need of. I spoke to someone that says I would receive a call back to schedule an appointment, unfortunately that never happened and now I'm moving on. I decided to share my experience with this company and I hope they wouldn't treat anyone...
Read moreA1 Appliance repair came out. checked my refrigerator and said they needed to order parts. Parts came in, they never called us. We had to track them down through our Home warrant company. This was after two weeks of waiting. They scheduled to come another day but, didnât show up! Mind you, I let them know from the beginning that my Father had medicine that had to be refrigerated so it was an absolute emergency to get my refrigerator repaired ASAP! They seemed as though I bothered them when I finally called to inquire about if it was able to be repaired or If I need to purchase a new one. Finally I called my home warranty company to ask for another appliance repair company to come out instead of A1 who stopped calling and showing up. My refrigerator has never been repaired! A new company is changing the compressor today after a whole 2 months without a refrigerator. DO NOT LET YOUR HOME WARRANTY COMPANY REFER TEDS A-1 APPLIANCES TO YOU FOR ANYTHING AT ALL!! They shouldnât be in BUSINESS ANYWHERE AT ALL!!! WORST EXPERIENCE IN...
Read moreThank you Kevin: We have an old 1986 GE Hotpoint 23 cu ft refrigerator my wife loves and wanted to keep. The only problem was that it was no longer cooling properly. It was one of those fridges that had had it's compressor changed out in 1987 because GE had problems with their factory installed compressors. After days of phone calls and 2 appliance repair services failing to do anything I finally found Ted Appliances. I explained to Kevin that the charging valve for freon was not a Schrader valve and that it took about 6 oz of R-12. Kevin told me to send him a photo of the charging valve for adding freon and that if he had the special tool they used back then that he had some R-12 left he could charge it with. Kevin called me back and said he still had the old tool for charging freon. The next day Kevin put in 3.5 oz of R-12 freon and now our old Hotpoint works like new. I was lucky to find Kevin who was knowledgeable and nice enough help. The other appliance service outfits just told me to go buy a new...
