I'm writing this after repeatedly being sorely disappointed with how little customers are valued at the location close to my home.
Sadly the manger on duty today was a big part of the problem, so I felt compelled to update my previous review here.
If you are going to charge a premium for items (including the exact same items you can get for far less elsewhere) then I would expect the high prices to be coupled with great service and certainly basic respect.
Today was pretty much the final time I will waste my time.
To give context, there has been a pattern over the last six months where if you go after 6pm, expect to be treated like a nuisance. Deli counters turn off lights, I've heard customers discouraged from ordering pizza at 7pm because "we close the pizza at 8." If you try to get sushi past 6pm you will get bad attitude and told "I close at 630" even though sign at front says 7.
I've gotten passed to as many as 3 counters just to buy a soda at 715 pm. And with zero graciousness.
Today I tried to check out. One lane had one customer. The other had the store manager and another employee gossiping and laughing, backs turned to customer lane entry. Took a bit to get their attention. I said please keep hot and cold items separate. They proceded to go back to yammering to each other about which employee was at which location, gossiping, zero engagement with me. The other employee placed cold items directly on top of hot, zero care for anything beyond gossiping with his boss. Then the manager carelessly knocked open my soup. That was the only time I was addressed directly. He said you want to go get more? Like I was his employee. At first I said just take off the soup. The one employee acted like that was an inconvenience. I said just cancel the order. The manager did, by individual item, no care as to why.
I'm fed up. I've heard other customers be very confused why it feels like everything is closed at 630pm.
I was excited when I moved near this store, I thought it would be a great thing for me.
Honestly they treat people better at Walmart. I really hope this gets addressed. It's ridiculous. The lady at the sushi bar earlier in the day is great. And I really like their sushi. But the overall experience is so bad currently I will not support it.
With so many grocery chains around you'd think the one charging by far the very most would have a LOT more pride in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI will perhaps change my review if AJ's will EVER get back to me about my complaint that I have immediately sent them on Thanksgiving day. As it stands right now now, I have spent A LOT of money with AJ's this year, and with their Lack of response, I feel spit on and totally disrespected. Thanks AJ's.
We ordered a Holiday Meal, when my husband and father arrived home, we were missing items. When my husband spoke to the store, he is a very nice and funny guy, he light heartedly said he has to pick up the items or it would be better if the girl came home to me instead of him. She replied with, "Itās so crazy here I would prefer to go to your house." I am sure she didn't mean harm but is that how AJ's train their employees? Deflect a customer's irritation by basically saying they could care less about the inconvenience that their store caused us because it is stupid crazy THE DAY BEFORE A MAJOR HOLIDAY? So my husband spent ANOTHER hour to go back to the store to pick up the items AJ's forgot to include in our meal originally. SO two hours to pick up food was SUPER not convenient and we ordered to be convenient. AJ's customer service is now in the toilet and to be honest, the food was lacking in savor this time, could their food be in the toilet now too? We spent $568 on this meal and if I don't hear from them in response to my complaint, they have lost a very loyal customer. After the comment from the employee to my husband and then AJ's lack of response, I am not very confident that I will hear from them. AJ's has hit rock bottom. I am NOT a Karen, I absolutely do NOT cause waves nor do I expect to be treated like royalty BUT I do NOT expect to be slapped in the face like this. Be cautious when ordering and if there is ever an update,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible. Went to pick up Christmas lamb dinner for my family. All employees grumpy grumpy grumpy. First I went to the wrong counter to pick up the dinner. The butcher said he called me and I didnāt return his call so itās not here. What? Blaming me for something I didnāt do. Then another butcher told me itās probably over in the deli where they make the holiday dinners. So I go over there and ask the counter lady if she can get my lamb dinner. She says, ā I am on light duty and I am not working nowā. Next lady. I say āhi how are u.? She says ā I was great the first 4 hour this morning, then I came in hereā. My fibromyalgia is killing meā. Ok is there anyone back there that can get my lamb dinner? Then sweet Jessica comes out and sweetly says that she is sorry but they forgot to put it in the oven. Could we wait 30 min while they cook it? Well we dove an hour all the way from buckeye to get this dinner, so we sat in the parking lot for 30 min waiting for the lamb to cook finally picked it up, cooked it according to instructions I was given. Instructions said cook 30 min. So all my sides and rolls were timed to come out at the same time. An hour and a half later, lamb still dripping blood, vegatables and rolls cold. Dinner ruined. 122$ down the drain. So disappointed with this ajs. Management seriously needs to reorganize and find some happy people who are willing to work. We ended up throwing out a 122$ Lamb roast and ate Christmas cookies for dinner....
