Ray's Food Place — Local services in Gold Beach

Thanks so much for hospitality. As soon as I entered the store one male employee told me where I could locate the item; a paring knife, I needed one for my farmers market apples. I had bought deli turkey... service very friendly. Store appeared clean before I had checked out... the young female had a brief chat with me; I had dropped a couple of bills on to the floor, a ten and a five but she was quick on the trigger but I assured her that I never drop my bills on to the floor. I had driven 320 miles round-trip... Ferndale was my destination and return to Gold Beach Oregon. I was gone from 6:30 AM and didn't arrive back to the Gold Beach motel 13 hours later. I had gotten up early 4:30 AM ... Long Day! I would DEFINITELY SHOP AGAIN at Ray's Food Place Gold Beach Oregon in the near future. We went here after dinner one night to get dessert, probably around 7pm. When we walked in and I looked at the pastry case there were 2 clerks in the back cleaning up some stuff. I stood there for a bit, but wasn't greeted. We then walked around a little to grab some wine and water bottles for out trip and then I made my way back to the pastry case, hoping to get something. I stood there for almost 2 minutes and when I thought I was going to be helped, another customer walked up and the clerk greeted them and they started having a personal conversation. I looked at them hoping to signal I wanted to get something, but was ignored. I met back up with my partner and we paid for our things and left. Not sure I'd return based upon being ignored twice at...

One of two grocery stores in town. Seems well maintained/clean. Excellent produce and daily deals. No Butcher, but they do have a variety in selection. The Bakery is yummy! Cake decorator on site. Deli chicken and all the fixings too.! Store seems just a bit higher in price over the other store, but Ray's has some very good deals, coupons and rewards card. There is a bathroom on site though it is in the back and only one, but clean. Ray's has a recycle center located outside the front of the store. Atmosphere is friendly if a bit quiet and they always have a greeting...
