Michaels — Local services in Goleta

My framing order was supposed to be done on April 1, 2013. Today is April 13 and I am still waiting. After not getting a phone call, as told that I would get, I went to check on my order on April 11. Not only could they not find my artwork piece to be framed but I was told that they would do it that afternoon and call me. Again, no phone call. I just called and spoke to the same employee who told me it would be done two days ago. Today, I was told that they did find the piece, but she has not had time to finish it. They should get it done tomorrow. This employee told me twice that the April 1 date was just an estimate, really? - it's been two weeks longer than promised. How much longer should a customer be expected to wait? NEVER AGAIN. She also told me that the number I left them did not work. I left them my office number. It is a correct number. I gave her a different number two days ago, she didn't use that number either. ???

Where is the customer service at this place? The employees don't care and the place is poorly managed. I asked for the manager and was told that the person is not there. Won't be there tomorrow either. Who ensures quality? Does...

This Michael's has a hard time keeping certain popular products in stock such the Art Department, specifically the paint and brush section also the Sewing Department is always very low on supplies primarily, crochet hooks and related crochet supplies. Throughout the whole store are sections with LOTS of bare hooks, VERY Frustrating when you are in the middle of a project! I usually end up with a small fraction of what I needed and have to go to the hardware store a few doors down and hope and pray they have what I need but most of the time I have to put my Art projects on hold or I order off of EBAY where I can get it WAY CHEAPER but have to wait for delivery, argggg. Staff are generally very friendly though NOT very knowledgeable about most products and that is if you can even find a staff member to help you. Also linesat checkout are super long most of the time I really dont like shopping there unless I absolutely need to TRY get what I need. Sorry Michael's, I like you just...

What a great store! I was like a kid in Toys-R-Us! I love arts and crafts, so I automatically love stores that carry products for such, at great prices too! This location got 5 stars because it was very neat, clean, and organized (and they have a TON of product!), it was easy to navigate and find what I came in for (although easy to get side tracked!), and the staff was wonderful!! The check out line was long, but I only waited about 30 seconds to 1 min. before getting rung up. I was trying to find my coupon in my sea of emails, and the cashier just manually applied it and cheerfully said, "No problem...I got it!" What a great store, what a...
