If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Doug, the owner of this shop is rude and unprofessional. I brought in my surfboard for a repair, and he initially promised to do his best with the color match. When I returned, the board had a large, poorly painted purple section, and the buckle repair was lumpy. When I politely asked if he could repaint it and offered to get a spray paint closer in color myself, he became aggressive, demanded payment before I could get the paint, and even threatened to re-buckle the board. He then scraped my board with a screwdriver and shoved it at me, following me out of the store while yelling. Absolutely unacceptable behavior—avoid this shop...
Read moreWow!! The staff was so professional. They educated me not only on how to pick out the right wetsuit but also on how to put it on with my body dimensions. The surfboards were well stocked for the mid-level to experienced surfer. The manager and I talked about which one I needed so he sent me to Play It Again Sports across the street from San Marcos High School so I could save money. I did end up buying a used wetsuit from him for $125, which I totally still think is a steal since new ones for someone with my type of body are usually custom made and can easily run over $500. He helped me find a wetsuit today and took the time to explain the different options and get the right fit (not easy after holiday feasting). He also gave me some great tips on care and storage that will make the wetsuit last. I know I wouldn't have received the same quality of help at another surf shop and will return/recommend for everything...
