Oriental Market — Local services in Goleta

We have always bought our groceries here and it was always fine. However last night when me and my roommate did our weekly shopping there, and the cashier, Nora, overcharged us several items. When we called this morning to let them know of this mistake, Nora had a horrible attitude and claimed that we had to bring everything back along with the receipt, despite of the fact that we have already opened and ate some of the products. When we tried to explain this to her, she laughed and said that their store have been open for 30 years and they have never had anyone had a compliant, and all their customers were happy with their purchase, hinting that we were being unreasonable and trying to scam them somehow. We asked if they will be able to check the security camera of last night, and she said no because all the footages are wiped every night at 9pm, then what’s the point of having a security camera in the first place? We are now scrambling through the garbage trying to find the food packages that we threw away last night, and it’s ridiculous that we have to go through all this in the middle of Dead week when we have more important things to do, just because of the cashier’s reluctance to admit...

A dream come true: An Asian market priced like a regular market. Their selection is great too. Love the produce, especially the mushroom selection and cheap bak choy. I love Cha-Cha sunflower seeds and they have them at a reasonable price, plus lots of options for homemade boba. Only thing lacking is the Korean ramen selection, but that's okay cause it's easy to find in other stores. I just really like Nongshim anything, so I wish I could get that here.

I absolutely love this place. It's the closest thing to an actual C-Mart (an Asian grocery chain store) that I've found anywhere near me. It isn't huge like a C-Mart but they have a really nice selection, especially for the size of the store. I just wish they had more of that canned Mocha coffee I love so much. They probably don't have a large quantity because I tend to buy them out whenever...
