This is one of my favorite places in Old Town, Goleta. I don't have a TV, so I go here to see the Dodgers. They have been making tacos on a grill right out on the street and they have a cart with everything anyone would want to adorn a good street taco. Their beers are offered in extra large glasses (20oz?) and are well priced. They have tap handles I would not expect from a neighborhood tavern restaurant. There are some great spots to park a bicycle out front and parking is now much better thanks to the Project Connect work in Old Town. I brought my whole family here recently and everyone was happy. Bike on over and order some tacos. It'll brighten your life.

No consigas los chicharrones. No se parecen en nada a los que he tenido viajando por América Latina. Se supone que los chicharrones son crujientes y tienen un poco de carne. Eran solo pieles de cerdo empapadas. Don't get the chicarrones. They're nothing like the ones I've had traveling in Latin America. Chicarrones are supposed to be crispy and have a bit of meat on them. These were just soggy pig skins. Gross! UPDATE: My wife is Dominican and used to all kinds of Hispanic foods. She’s in the bathroom throwing up right now after trying to eat just a little bit of that disgusting meal.

Authentic family run Mexican food restaurant serving scatch-made classic entrees in a humble yet spacious dining room in the heart of Old Town Goleta. The Chile Verde was tender and delicious with a depth of flavor that left me pleasantly surprised. The beef alambre was beautifully composed and surprisingly savory with the addition of bacon to the usual ingredients. I can't wait to go back and try the homemade chicken mole.

I ordered delivery and specifically asked for a lot of spicy salsa. After tracking the driver down outside I asked her if there was spicy salsa, she told me yes. Came inside and opened up the bag. There are two separate bagels of over salted chips and no salsa whatsoever... Not even a Pico de Gallo. The beans are bland, the taco was over salted as well, haven't even broken into anything else because I'm so disappointed with everything so far and can't even mask it with spicy salsa. Getting in my car to go get salsa from them... Got back to the food and it's now ice cold and everything is WAY over salted. Waste of money. Won't be back. Bummer... I was really hungry and now I can't get the salt out...

I really don't like to post if I don't have anything nice to say but this place was filthy. The menu's were filthy and had stuff dripping down them. The salt and pepper shakers were filthy and even the ketchup bottle which had nothing in it was dirty. The salsas were sitting open and uncovered by the door. Not sure why I even stayed and tried the food but I did. The beans were OK but the rice was clumpy and crunchy at the same time not sure how they managed that. Didn't enjoy the taco either. Ate there once before and wasn't pleased then either but it was a long time ago and thought I would give it one more chance. Never again...
