City of Graham — Local services in Graham

Don't rent in Graham if you expect quality care of your basic needs to be met in your dwelling. I moved in with no globe on bathroom light, toilet seat not attached to toilet, a non-working refrigerator, electrical looped through 3 connected extension cords, no working heat source, no sink in bathroom, no working closet in bedroom as it had a stack washer dryer in it, could not get queen size box springs up stairs to apartment, only partial railing on steep entry stairs & no light source on stairs. During the snow weeks my apartment was 47 degrees & the heat wasn't fixed for four weeks. I love where I live but I don't think anyone cares about my safety & comfort. The do, however,care about my rent...

I enjoy living in Graham. However, it would be nice if some of the ordinances were upheld a little better. My neighborhood has furniture that's been out at roadside for months...months! Also, residents are allowed to leave their recycle and trash bins at the curb....dangerous to have to walk around in traffic. The street sweeper comes by to clean the constant amount of broken glass at apartments once every 2 months. When contacted time after time, managers listen and politely respond, but action is hard to come by. Please.... 'cmon.....what's it take to work together to make...

Graham, NC has acknowledged they have cancer causing contaminated water & filed a federal lawsuit in 2024. Yet, they have not told the community. I lost my mom, dad & 2 dogs to cancer. Ironically the types listed in lawsuit. As I was closing their estate I was able to talk to many neighbors that had cancer or lost a loved one to cancer. I’ve tried to reach out for more info but my requests have gone unanswered. We need to come together as a community, get a lawsuit filed & hold Graham, NC...
