Summary: they steal your money intentionally. They also hate kids. Don’t go here.
Extremely rude ownership. My husband was trying on glasses and tried some on my 4 yr old daughter, the owner Bob comes up and says “can I help you with something,” insinuating by his rude tone that kids are not to try them on. Understandable but there is a kinder way to go about this. Not only that- I myself heard the wife badmouthing my kids to her employee. My kids are well behaved- every parent probably says this but truly my husband is a professor and we are firm with discipline. The cherry on top- the girl who checked us out didn’t even put the glasses in the box, with the owner Bob watching her give us an EMPTY box. I wish I could call it a mistake. However, I know it was intentional. We left with an EMPTY box. So not only are they rude they actually steal your money. I tried to go back to ask about the glasses - they were closed- but apparently they accuse their shoppers of stealing merchandise (glasses specifically) often. Go check the other reviews! There are at least 3 or 4. So likely they think we stole them and the picture is fake. Well it isn’t. I don’t leave one star reviews but this one is well deserved. Also if you don’t want kids in your store Bob, then just do the logical thing and put a sign out front that says “no kids.” My guess is they would rather not, because they’ll lose business considering it’s a family oriented town particularly in the summer. So instead you prefer being hateful toward families? Idk just do the right thing and...
Read moreI have shopped at Buffalo Bob's for 20 years. You couldn't ask for a finer people. My hat goes off to Jill and Bob who have been committed to this community for so many years. They cater to locals as much as the tourist which one cannot say about most stores in Grand Haven. The back of the store becomes a place to " hang out" for most kids at some point in their childhood . They get to know those kids and welcome them with open arms. If you haven't experienced this, visit the store on any snow day. Their selection allows me to buy any gift or item I may need without having to go to the mall . Whether it is a cooler, sunglasses, wood bowl, skateboard, hammock, ski coat, fishing shirt, luggage, purse, socks, hats ........etc, they continue to offer a huge variety of items at a fair price. It will be a sad day if we ever lose this...
Read moreWe have been going to Buffalo Bob's for the last few years now that my boys have gotten to that age where being on a "board" be it snow or street is oh so cool! Bob the (Owner) has an exceptional skill of making my sons feel right at home when they enter his store. Not only does he have the current popular offerings by top manufacturers he has the knowledge of how to represent it to different age groups. This way a parent can trust his kids are getting a safe, quality product at a reasonable price. Everyone seems to think that in order to save money you need to go to a "Big Box" store. I have found (with some research) that Bob's prices are very competitive. So in summation, check out Buffalo Bob's in Grand Haven Michigan. Your kids will thank you and so will your wallet. ...
