The store is nice and I love the location. I’ve had a watch sized there and my wife had her wedding ring serviced there after she lost a diamond. However, the customer service I recently experienced was less than desirable. I went in to find a necklace for my daughter’s Valentine’s Day gift. I was asked how old she is…and responded with 8 years old. I was then told that I’d have better luck going to Mac Kite. For those that don’t know what Mac Kite is…it’s a toy store in downtown Grand Haven. I wasn’t looking for inexpensive costume jewelry. I was looking for something nice that she can wear proudly for many years to come. That’s why I walked through the front door. The fact that the woman seemed put off by me shopping for my daughter in a “high end” jewelry store was beyond irritating. I’ve purchased many pieces of jewelry for my daughter over the years, ranging from Tiffany and Co. to pieces at other nicer jewelry stores. Overall I felt like the sales woman was very judgmental and completely disinterested in my desire to purchase something from this store. In retrospect I should have just walked out and went somewhere else, but I did end up purchasing a small necklace as my time was limited and the necklace was ideal. In the future, I’d recommend that the sales staff treat everyone that walks through the store as a potential customer. I highly doubt...

My fiancé and I worked with Christina who was such a huge help and was so patient with us. I have my grandmothers ring from the 60's so we also asked to have it cleaned up and to fix some of the prongs around the diamonds since they were worn down. We had the best experience up until we received my ring.. we were told it would take about 6-8 weeks to get my ring and new band back. After 12 weeks went by we decided to call to make sure everything was okay. Come to find out we the ring was ready 2 weeks ago and we never received a call for it. When we went to go pick the rings up another lady helped us, who was quite rude. As we were making sure everything looked right she was pushy and making us feel very unwelcomed as if we were an inconvenience of her time. Dessirae’s customer service was spectacular!! I went in with intensions of getting a mother’s ring and after a lot of looking and mock set ups of what my ring would finally look like, I walked away with a (reasonable) price of how much it would cost to get what I wanted. Dessirae followed up with me a few weeks later to let me know about an upcoming sale they were having. I went back in, ordered the ring and walked away with a more beautiful “family” ring then I originally thought I would get. Dessirae was resourceful in getting some modifications done to a ring that was in stock and on sale so that I could get something more beautiful than I had imagined.
