Great view, but not the best seating. Bring your own chairs.
You can see and hear the musical fountain from here every night from Memorial Day to Labor Day as well as Fridays and Saturdays in May and September. Tune into 88.7 FM for the music. Getting pictures can be difficult, but it is still amazing to see.
There are lots of food and ice cream vendors around, but they are not cheap or high quality, but often good enough or even great. They are offering convenience and often have very long lines. You’ll have to decide if it is worth it.
It is a very gradual slope so seeing over the people ahead is a bit challenging if the event is in the water. If it is in the air or the musical fountain area, you should be fine.

Read moreThis is a great spot in Grand Haven for a local concert. Right by the water and there's ample seating. Be prepared for sunset though. The sun is literally shining right in your face. Bring your sunglasses and UV umbrella if you like using those. I was present during the Van Halen Invasion concert and it was literally so hot.
