We absolutely love our Freddy desk!!! We have 2 children, 6 & 3, who have both been home together for over a year now due to the pandemic. Before we had the Freddy desk, they were doing their projects on our kitchen table & it was always a mess! The desk not only looks sleek and modern, but it has SO MANY cool ways to use it. I love that the desk height is adjustable so it will grow with my kids and they can use it as a standing desk too. Having the white board insert in the middle has given my kids an easel to draw on and play games on, which saved us from having to find space for an easel that the kids had been asking for! We absolutely love how the desk tops store vertically in the middle to make it more compact when we need more room in the playroom. The wood is very sturdy and solid, not like the plywood kid’s desks you will find at a store. My 3 year old has “drawn” all over the wood surface with a marker and it wiped off easily with water. I am a preschool teacher. I love the Freddy Double Desk System in my classroom. I love that it is solid and built well. I love that the divider and surfaces can be stored quickly and easily for flexibility and function. I appreciate that it will last in my classroom and I can take it with me for grandchildren one day as my own kids are grown. I wish the Freddy Desks were around when my children were little. I love how it grows with children. Preschoolers come in different shapes and sizes. One quick adjustment and it fits. As a teacher, one side can be set to me and the second side can be set to my students. I cannot wait to get the plexiglass divider so I can be socially distanced from my students but they can still see me and my facial expressions or the way my mouth moves when producing a sound or a word. I have two daughters that have benefited from having their own workspace. The obvious plus and reason for having the double desk is so our kids have a space other than the kitchen table for schooling at home. One daughter is 6 and the other is 4 and both are comfortable sitting at the desks for hours while having their classes. The options of different sizing in one desk is awesome. Our kids use the whiteboard all the time. The other plus that we didn’t realize is it gives our daughters a place to own. Their own space and a space to call their own. It makes for a much more structured and organized way for them to learn.
