I stopped in September 28 to get a quote on rebuilding prongs and resizing my wedding ring. Several prongs had worn down, and I'd had the ring cut off two weeks earlier because I had difficulty removing it and didn't want to lose my diamond. I'd been advised to wait at least three weeks to allow the swelling in my knuckle to go down, but my son's wedding was coming up quickly, and I didn't want to be without it for that special occasion!
The associate who waited on me was very concerned that we wouldn't get an accurate resizing because my knuckle was still swollen. She cautioned that if the ring needed to be resized again later it could be further weakened (even with my engagement ring and wedding band fused together, it is a very petite ring). I explained the situation and said I was willing to take that chance if it meant I could wear my wedding ring when my son walks me down the aisle at his own wedding. (What else could I do? I was between a rock and a hard place! Pun absolutely intended. 🙂)
We went ahead with the resizing, and the concerns were noted on the work order. She explained that I could save time and money by having the set resized as one ring rather than two, and I said that was fine. The counter associate was hesitant to guarantee that it would be finished in time—in addition to the resizing, all four prongs needed rebuilding or retipping—but the jeweler, overhearing, assured me that it would be. I appreciated their care in all of this.
The very next afternoon, I received a call from the jeweler (Holly, I believe) saying my ring was ready. "Already? I thought it would be at least a week!" She responded, "I knew it was important for you to have it for your son's wedding, so I made sure to do it right away." That is great service! She also did an excellent job in every aspect, as far as I can tell, even making the new part of the ring look like the two bands it used to be.
It most likely will need to be resized again, but I knew that might be the case. I also know where I will be getting that done! For now, I am one happy...
Read moreMy mom and sister have had wonderful experiences with Pfaff Jewelers and so I decided to try them as well. I had an amethyst ring that I loved, but the stone had been chipped. It was a very unique cut and so I was concerned about having the right jeweler replace and set the stone. Also, amethyst comes in many shades of purple and I really wanted the deeper color. The Pfaff Jewelers team was awesome! I live out of town and had to send my ring to them. They communicated with me every step of the way. They recognized the importance of the stone color before I even mentioned it. When I received the ring, it was perfect! The stone is exactly the same cut, a deep purple, and set with precision. The price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again for my future...
Read moreWhen looking for a engagement ring there is so many places to shop, while I shopped around to different places looking for the perfect ring every place that I shopped would push me to buy that day and did not give me much information on the types or rings and would not work with me on how much I wanted to spend. when shopping I look for someone that will edacate me on what I am buying and make sure I know what I am getting is the right fit.
Kendra is very knowledgeable and is very helpful, she explained the different styles, showed me what I could do in my budget. when I ordered the ring it did not take long for the ring finished.
I would recommend you stop by and see what that have. They found the perfict ring or me. By the...
