Lalos Mexican Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Grandville

This is one of those buildings that can never seem to have a restaurant stick! I think this was a gyro place before this. Let's hope Lalo's sticks. We have a lot of options for Mexican food here in West Michigan. Lot of good options. Add this one to the list! Went here with my wife and stepson. My wife really liked her fish tacos. Said they were very good.

I love the authenticity this place has to offer. This was my first time going so I knew I was rolling the dice but I’m glad I took the gamble. I had a shrimp taco a grilled chicken tostada and a quesabirria (final gave it a try 🤩). Everything was fresh and made to order oh and did I say that the beans were top tier because whew we there were good. Lemonade is my thing when dining out (house made has me in a chokehold) theirs was run of the mill so I’m glad that I checked out their bar which had many different tequilas/mezcals and other spirits to boot. As I walked away with my takeout order, I felt like $5-6 per taco was a little steep. But when the food experience is great, I forget about that 😉.

Al Pastor and Carnitas were delicious, the corn tortillas were grilled just right (not too soft nor too crunchy, and doubled up!), the mild and hot sauces were both great, and they included a bag of chips that I wasn’t expecting. I would have included a picture of the tacos, but I gobbled them up too fast 😋.
