A friend sent me a link to a used truck for sale on Saturday April 17th. It was before the dealership was open, so I used the chat feature on their website. I was ready to go buy the truck that day. The chat person set me up with an appointment for 11am. Around 9am I got a call from the salesperson that the truck was not ready to sell. When I looked at the listing the truck was taken in on April 8th, listed on the Broadway website and Craigslist but was not ready to be sold. It was just getting into the shop for the used vehicle inspection and would need parts that should be there Monday. Because it was in the shop, I could not look at it. Then it would need to be detailed before pickup. Tuesday evening, I got a call that the truck would be ready Wednesday morning to see. I ended up buying the truck and it included a free extended warranty. Friday, 2 days later, I was driving it around and a whole bunch of warning lights came on the dash. Then I started noticing how dirty the truck was. It was obvious that it was parked under a tree for a long time. All around the windows and seams there was a ton of algae growing that shot out after the rain. It looked like the detailing was going through one of those automatic car washes that doesn’t touch anything. The inside was dirty as well. The previous owner’s registration was in the glove box along with hair all over the floor. After I washed the truck by hand I noticed that it dripped water all day. The windshield cowl ducts were plugged and so the water dripped down inside the truck. I pulled up molding and there were rusty bolts that had been enjoying this leaky water for quite some time. I don’t think the inspection and detail were much to talk about at all. So then to get things fixed. I called several times and got one message returned that we will have to get this all fixed up. It’s been 2 weeks and zero communication. I’d check out the extended warranty and figure it out, but I have no information on that. I went to Advance Auto Parts. They read my code and then I ordered the $65 part that it needed. It was supposed to be a quick job, but you know how that goes. A piece of the old part had to be fished out of a hole so I spent a good chunk of the day on that project. Next is removing the cowl to unplug the drains. First you have to remove some trim, then some bolts, then the wipers with a gear puller. Then be careful when you take it off to not break a seal because that would cost more money. This is a lot to fix for having been through an inspection. I’m upset that I am doing all of this, but I’m glad I have the ability. What if someone could not. They could potentially be driving their family around in an unsafe vehicle...
Read moreMy husband and I recently went to Broadway on Military to look at a used 2020 Ford Escape Titanium. We worked with Linda and test drove the vehicle and were interested, but we also wanted to evaluate other options so that we were making the best choice for our family. After doing so, we decided that we were interested in moving forward in the process to discuss buying the Escape. I sent Linda an email on Sunday (3/19) explaining that we were interested and asked to meet with her on the following Tuesday (3/21) as we had other commitments on 3/20. She first called me while I was working and left me a message and then eventually texted me. She asked me to fill out a credit application, which was completed and sent over, and information about my trade-in and asked some questions about what my payment goals were. At that point I had no idea what I would be offered as a trade-in or what my possible options would be to get my payment where my goal was or if I needed to make some adjustments; hence why I wanted to meet with her to discuss all of this. Instead, she called me and gave me an offer on my trade-in without looking at it that was over $2,000 less than the KBB trade-in value then told me my payment would be over $500/month which seemed incredibly high to me given the price of the Escape and the fact that my trade-in is a newer car with low miles. Additionally, I have an excellent credit score. When I asked her what interest rate was being used to calculate my monthly payment she told me she didn't know and they wouldn't know until they ran everything through. When I tried to negotiate the offer on my trade-in and get clarification on the interest rate and payment breakdown, she completely ghosted me. I never received a response to my message, a phone call, nothing. My husband has bought two cars from Broadway way and has made a point to drive from Appleton to Green Bay to service his car at Broadway, so we have spent a lot of money there. I'm extremely disappointed that this is how Broadway has chosen to treat any customer let alone a repeat customer. For comparison, we stopped at a dealership in Appleton yesterday and someone actually sat down with us and talked over our payment options, which were not only given using an actual known interest rate and were actually reasonable based on the asking price of the vehicle and what I could expect to get as an interest rate given my credit score. They also offered us $2000 more for our trade-in. The treatment and service we received from the dealership in Appleton is what I expected from Broadway at the very minimum. Broadway needs...
Read moreWe leased a 2018 FORD EDGE Titanium from Broadway Ford on Military Dr, Green Bay, WI on 09/06. Our sales executive was Gary Hansen and he was magnificent. I was initially contacted by a salesman first name Creed in 09/05. He stated he would be on vacation starting 09/06 and referred us to Gary. From the moment we stepped inside Broadway Ford New VEHICLES Dealership we were greeted immediately by friendly faces. I told the individual that we were here for Gary and Gary promptly showed up. He sat down with us and new from Creed exactly what vehicle we wanted. This was the first time we leased a vehicle. In the past we have always paid cash for our new vehicles. He showed us the exact vehicle that we wished to lease. Broadway Ford is the only dealership that allows customers to test drive a vehicle without having a salesman ride along. Gary explained everything we had questions about and more. From when we arrived until we left for home with my new Edge was three hours. Would have been less, but we went out to lunch many miles away and got lost on our way back. My Edge was inspected, filled up with gas, washed and a few minor scratches were rubbed out. The monthly payment amount was exactly what I was comfortable with. I traded in my 2013 FORD TAURUS from a Ford dealership in Appleton that I did business with for 52 yrs. The finance manager got the leasing papers prepared promptly and before we left Broadway, Gary answered all of our questions to our complete satisfaction. And told us to contact him with any other questions we may think of on our way home. The real bonus is that with my trade in and incentives we will be getting a $3300.00 check early next week. My husband and I have found our forever new Ford Dealership in Broadway Ford and Gary Hansen or Creed Sieg. Gary showed us where the service dept was and we were so impressed that I am willing to drive the 40 miles for oil changes. This experience was pressure free and we left feeling happy about the quick leasing experience and how helpful Broadway Ford is. We plan on purchasing a 2019 FORD Ranger when they arrive March 2019 and it will definitely be from Broadway Ford on Military Dr. Thanks to everyone for this wonderful leasing experience. I wish I could say the same for our...
