I’m giving 2 stars for an incomplete job and my dissatisfaction with their customer service.
The day after Brian installed our a Backyard Discovery swing set I noticed there were parts missing. I texted Brian letting him know and asked if he knew where they were. He said he didn’t see them and instructed me to contact the company to send the parts and he’d come back and install them. I did just that and told him I’d contact him when they arrived. He replied, “Sounds good, just text me.”
I sent Brian a text letting him know the parts arrived and asked when he could come back to install. No response. 11 days later, I followed up with another text. No response back.
I then emailed Michelle asking for help and she said she’d work on scheduling a time for Brian to come back and also let me know that there would be a $50 service fee.
Considering that I paid a lot of money for an incomplete job and tipped all 3 guys on top that to be generous, I felt that I shouldn’t be charged an additional fee.
I was originally told an inventory check would be done before the install. Brian never flagged to me that any parts were missing and if he performed a detailed inventory check he would have noticed. If he had flagged to me at the very beginning before he started the install, I could have ordered the parts, (they were overnighted to me by the company) and he could have completed the job without having to come back after the initial install as he and his crew were at our house multiple days in a row.
It’s not their fault that the parts were missing, but it is an oversight on their part for not noticing and communicating that issue to me at any point. When I expressed that to Michelle, I never received an apology and Brian didn’t take ownership of the mistake.
Instead Michelle wrote that they were “strange new parts” that are brand new and this is only set she’s them on. That’s not an excuse to me when they are clearly listed as inventory and marked in the instruction manual. Michelle refused to waive the $50 standard fee as a courtesy for their oversight so I decided to not have them come back.
I’m not writing this as a threat, just sharing my experience for others to...
Read moreSuch a great, smooth experience from start to finish. Michelle (sales) was great to deal with and helpful in selecting the right playground for our backyard. Brian, who dismantled our old set and installed the new one, was fantastic and it was actually pretty cool watching him do both. I really appreciated his attention to detail and suggesting the right layout/placement of the new playground in our yard. The playground itself is very good quality, looks great in our yard and should last us for many years to come. Brian providing us with a touch up kit for the playground was also a nice plus. Will definitely continue to use Swingset Solutions as needed for maintaining our set and recommend them to anyone looking to get a...

Won’t recommend to anyone...
