Scheduled to have 4 pallets of sod delivered between 8a-12p. Called at 1230p to find out what happened to the delivery and the guy said the delivery guy ran into some troubles during the morning and couldn't give me an estimate as to when it would arrive. I understand that things happen but called again at 3pm when I still didn't receive my order. (Forgot to mention that when we called the weekend before they said they were able to do same day delivery if it was early enough in the morning) I asked to speak with the manager and they guy on the phone said he was the manager and his name was John. I told him I took off work today for the delivery and wanted to try and get it down before the weekend and wanted to know what was going on. He said the delivery probably wouldn't happen today. I responded with I would either like a discount or my money refunded. He stated that they would rather refund my money and that the delivery wasn't going to happen today. When I asked when my money was going to be refunded I was put on hold for awhile and then he came back on the line to tell me he needed my card information to refund the money bc he only had the last 4 digits. My husband placed the order so I called him to let him know to give them the information. All in all this was a huge inconvenience and a waste of time and money. Would not recommend. Let's see how long it takes for the refund. They don't seem to have...
Read moreThe quality of plants from this nursery is unacceptable. I bought a tray of 10 vincas, and immediately after planting 2 out of 10 looked droopy, with leaves curling. The next day 2 more had similar symptoms, and while still barely alive will not recover. I was originally going to purchase only 6, but the nice lady talked me into a tray. I went back to the nursery today to show pictures and express my disappointment, and hoping despite their "all sales are final policy"they would make things right and replace them. They still had then available, although half of them looked exactly as bad as mine. The person behind the counter, I would say the owner, was nasty. He said vincas are very delicate and the nursery is not responsible for the plants not living, almost implying my recklesness in the care of the plants. Sir, I am a happy owner of hundreds of vincas, between Florida and extremely hot Texas. They are not delicate, and vincas thrive in extreme conditions. Your plants are infected with a fungal disease, and your lack of costumer service is a good enough reason for anybody to look elsewhere for plants, even if it is Home Depot. At least they stand behind their product and offer a pleasant costumer service. You Sir are anything but pleasant, judging from many negative reviews and just as many...
Read moreThis was a very disappointing $800 experience.
I ordered 4 pallets of Bahia grass from them, trusting that I’d receive a quality product. I understand Bahia can be tricky—its thin roots make it more fragile—but what I received went well beyond that. Two of the four pallets were in terrible condition: overdried, brittle, and clearly not properly stored or cared for. The grass crumbled when I tried to lift it—basically just dry sand and dead blades.
The other two pallets were decent—they retained some moisture and were usable. I don’t shy away from hard work, but the condition of half the order made the job unnecessarily difficult. I ended up wasting about 1/4 of a pallet, and the installation took three times longer than it should have.
I reached out with a polite and thoughtful request for partial reimbursement, and the response I got was: “That’s Bahia.” I disagree. Poor handling and lack of moisture retention isn't a trait of Bahia—it’s a matter of proper care.
Yes, I signed a delivery receipt stating the pallets looked fine—but that only reflects the top few layers. Once I started working through them, the quality dropped dramatically.
In short, I wouldn’t recommend them unless you're willing to gamble on what condition your sod...
