Legacy Barbershop — Local services in Greenbelt

Thought Inwas going to the 5 star rating barbershop until Jamal cut my hair. If you want someone who will try and come up on you because you are from out of town. Jamal was sloppy with the cut. He constantly stopped to play on his phone, he asked to many questions about being a soldier and smoking weed (I am a wounded warrior that came from Walter Reed for a good cut). My line was super sloppy that I had to take a BIC razor to it to clean it up. Jamal pushed the clippers so hard on my skin that I have burns and welts all on my face. He did an all even zero but still managed to welt up my forehead. I wish I had the experience everyone else has but if you deal with Jamal, you will get what you ask for. Dude charged me $25 for an all even cut, if he needed help in his life, he could have ask and I would've help but to try and play someone after a weak Haircut, I would rather go to the on post barber (notorious for butchering heads) and take a chance then legacy. To the owner, if this is not your standard, then do better than Jamal, if not, get cut at your own...

I took my 5 year old son to his normal barber and waited an hour for them to tell me his barber wasn't coming back to the shop. I was so mad and irritated. So on a Friday evening I had to hurry up and find a barber for my child. My cousin recommended Legacy and told me to ask for Jay or KK. When I came in (with an attitude because I was still upset) I asked Jay if he knew how to cut my Son's hair (curly up top and straight/fine hair in the back). He laughed and assured me he knew what he was doing, and indeed he did! He was patient and gentle with my son all while giving him a fresh cut. The master barber and proprietor of Legacy Barbershop has been my barber for the last 20 years. He only hires the best professionals, all licensed, and this place is usually packed on the weekends. There is also a full service hair salon for women in a separate space in the rear.
