We put a tree on hold that we had a landscaping friend help pick out. It was great with lots of new growth. We paid for it and tagged it then went on our anniversary vacation. Went to pick it up today and another customer took ours and left theirs “by mistake.” I’m not sure how that could happen since names are clearly on the tag, but when I told the woman at the counter I was upset, she said the other party were great customers who bought landscape materials all the time from them. She offered nothing for the mistake other than a refund, but we were heading to NC to plant the tree that day. I asked if they had a process to make sure people don’t take other people’s items, and they apparently don’t. She said, sorry, mistakes happen in a rude tone, and couldn’t have cared less. It made me feel like I wasn’t good enough to shop there, because I wasn’t one of their “better” customers. I had picked out some petunias and phlox and put them back. I’ll just get...

So glad this place opened in Greeneville. Excellent selection of flowers, trees, shrubs, vegetables, and houseplants. I bought houseplants recently and was astounded by all the different varieties, none of which can be found at Lowe’s. They have flourished in my home. In 2022 we bought our vegetable plants here, and they did well. This year, we bought them at Lowe’s, and they produced very little. Next year we will be sure to get them here again! Prices on plants are competitive, and if you do pay a little more, you are getting a better plant. The owners are great, local people. The gift shop has really neat stuff, too! In addition to everything green, they have THE BEST gifts, home decor pieces and kitchen finds. The owners are brilliant in selecting what they sell in their store. My favorite thing about The GreeneHouse, besides Fig the cat and Olive the cat??? The staff! They are indeed some of the coolest folks in town.
