I had my 2011 BMW X5D tinted at North Main Audio in Greeneville one week ago, and the entire experience was phenomenal. I was extremely nervous going in because a few years ago I had a terrible experience with another local shop (fella who is HIGHLY recommended on the FB group My Greeneville) that left my 328d sedan full of bubbles and even a human hair trapped under the tint on the back glass, and when I asked about it they brushed me off. I let that car bake in the sun for 4 days without rolling the windows down, as I was instructed, and when it came time to start driving the car I noticed the passenger’s front window was making a weird noise. Within that day the tint literally rolled off of the passenger’s window. I was treated extremely aggressively when I asked for them to fix it, and then resorted to asking for a refund. I ended up having to have my husband go try to get a refund for that tint, and they wouldn’t even refund him in full. This was within a week after getting the car tinted! I had never had a car tinted before, this was my first experience, I thought I was using someone reputable, and understandably the experience left me hesitant to ever get another car tinted.

But Chuck and Angie at North Main Audio completely changed that for me! From the start, Chuck was professional, reassuring, and explained everything clearly — including that all of their tint comes with a lifetime warranty for as long as I own the vehicle. He also gave me instructions on preparing the car for its appointment and on how to care for the tint afterwards. I did make him quite aware of how apprehensive I was, but he had come HIGHLY recommended by a client of mine whose opinion I trust, so I was willing to take the leap of faith.

I dropped my SUV off at 8am and it was finished by 2pm the same day — four side windows, back glass, a very large panoramic sunroof, and a windshield strip. The price was very reasonable, especially considering the quality. The work is flawless: no bubbles, no streaking, and the windows move up and down smoothly. It’s been a week now and the tint has cured beautifully. The car looks incredible, stays so much cooler inside, and has the privacy I was hoping for. I use this car for work and travel a lot — I’m constantly in strange parking lots and as a small female I really appreciate the fact that strangers can’t look in and see what I’m doing, or if I accidentally left my phone on my seat. The peace of mind is incredible.

I’ve seen reviews saying North Main is “expensive,” but I disagree. I paid $350 at the other shop for tint that looked awful, peeled off within a week, wasn’t warrantied, and nearly ended in a physical altercation. (literally the other tint dude said to my mom and I, “You two are lucky I’ve found Jesus because if I hadn’t this may end badly for you..” like guy, I just want some money back!) For just a bit more, North Main tinted my entire SUV with top-notch results and peace of mind. To me, that’s priceless. Not to mention, the SUV has FAR more glass than the sedan does.

Chuck and Angie clearly take pride in their work. They’re busy, and it’s easy to see why: professionalism, quality, and customer service. I’ll absolutely be bringing my other vehicles here in the future. I seriously cannot wait to bring the sedan to them!

I have been out of the audio world for several years but I recently purchased a new vehicle and the audio components in it were probably the worst I have ever heard from a factory vehicle. So I began the search to see what improvements could be made.

I started by visiting several stereo shops in the Tri-Cities area. I told them what I wanted, basically just a good sounding system with plenty of clean volume. I wasn't looking to win any contests etc., I feel everyone one of them tried to oversell me on items from the start I am talking $4000 - $5000 right from the beginning, gees really? I was about to just say forget it!

We did have to make a few changes along the way and Chuck and Angie were extremely accommodating to work on my vehicle when it was convenient for me. Also my vehicle was returned to me clean and all installations were neatly done with attention to detail. When I picked the vehicle up Chuck would always go over everything at the vehicle and take a listen with me inside the vehicle to see what my thoughts were.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at North Main Audio in Greeneville, TN this past Friday! I brought in my forever car, a 2005 Subaru Baja that I love dearly, and Chuck and Angie took such great care of it.

I had the two front windows tinted. The tint is slightly lighter than the back windows (since the darker shade that’s already on the rear isn’t legal for the front), but it still looks phenomenal and blends beautifully with the rest of the car. I also had a Kenwood stereo system with Apple CarPlay installed, along with a backup camera—both of which are absolute game changers!

On top of that, I had asked about getting a new keyless entry remote since mine hadn’t worked in years. Instead of selling me a new one, Angie checked my original fob, gave it a good cleaning, replaced the battery, and had it working again—saving me money and going the extra mile.
