It's a food ministry, feeding those that are down on their luck financially, but it's also open to anyone that wants to get a quick bite to eat and socialize. It is run by a group of volunteers. I love it because it's a family friendly place, with a wonderful community atmosphere. Though it isn't a high class restaurant and what they're serving day to day is limited, you can pick and choose what you want on yout tray. But you can't complain, it's free food. Sometimes you would be surprised what eating establishments would donate to the Kitchen, that you would have to pay your hard earned dollar to eat where the free food would come from. Kenneth Butler is a place where anyone can stop to have a full lunch and a full dinner. The volunteers are friendly and helpful. There is also extra food available to take home in the area next to the dining room. Kenneth Butler MSK offers some clothing and shoes. Anyone is welcome to donate food, clothing, shoes, books, etc. Meals are served Monday thru Fridays and include lunch and dinner. I came in yesterday evening due to needing help with grocery items because I had to have an unexpected surgery and I was blown away at how nice and sweet the staff was! I talked with a lady and I wish I could remember her name because she was great! I have never had to do anything like this better so I was uncomfortable and she made me feel so welcome and was so sweet!
