On 5/20/25 I lost the diamond in my engagement ring. I've worn my ring for 11 years now, so there was some wear on the setting. I took it to Kay Jewelers in Asheboro where it was bought to see what they could do about getting the setting fixed and the stone replaced. I was quoted the original total cost of the ring to have the one stone replaced or I could trade the ring in for a credit of the original cost on a ring that was double the cost. When this did not set well with me, I contacted Jewelry Authority on State Street. I spoke with Sherrie, who then assured me that they would love to have me come in the the shop to have them look at my ring. She was friendly and very informative. I went into the shop on 5/24, where I met with Sherrie, who was again, very professional and helpful. She gave me a range for the quote that was a fraction of what Kay had quoted me and told me the jeweler would be there on Thursday and if it was able to be fixed in-store, there was a possibility it would be ready in less than a week. I was more than pleased with the quote and quickly agreed to allow Jewelry Authority to set and supply the new diamond for my ring. Sherri called me the next day to confirm the quoted price range and told me she'd keep me informed once the ring was seen by the jeweler. I was also able to go back into the store to view and approve the stone that was to be the replacement. On 5/26 Sherri called me to let me know that the ring was able to be fixed in store and was ready to be picked up!! That's less than a week turnaround. I picked my ring up that day and to my surprise it was even more perfect than before. The jeweler had done a fantastic job repairing the setting and placing the stone. Sherrie was absolutely fantastic and so personable throughout this whole process. Their prices were absolutely unbeatable, the total cost was 3/4 less than what Kay Jewelers had quoted me and they couldn't even touch the turnaround time of getting it repaired! My partner and I had an excellent experience shopping for an engagement ring at Jewelry Authority! Sherrie and Zane were both very warm and welcoming. The selection is great especially for vintage rings. Sherrie was incredibly knowledgeable about each piece in their inventory. Most importantly, she encouraged us to take our time and try on multiple styles without making us feel pressured to make a decision. Zane was also helpful in talking us through our resizing options. We ended up purchasing a gorgeous Art Deco ring!
