I worked at this store for 2 years and for AE in total for 5 years. This store is ran terribly. I ended up leaving the company after upper management was ageist to me because they did not want to deal with the concerns I brought to their attention as an assistant manager. They allow upper management and district/ regional managers to bully employees, discriminate against employees based on their age/ race/ etc. Deb the store manager has made sexual comments to high schoolers working there, she closes the fitting room whenever, and she fires people based on rules she doesn’t even follow herself. I worked for AE in other locations and it was nothing like the Greenville location. Aerie and Offline are run by the same company just different management and they are amazing and the customer experience is a worlds of difference. For a company that stands on inclusion and employee experience they DO NOT stand on these views when it comes to their employees facing real concerns. The assistant manager (told me her last name was Eva) said that I could not return them ther unless I had the delivery notice in email. She told me there was nothing to do. I was out of luck. Offered me no alternative. Was very rude and unhelpful. Thank the Lord I did find the email and was able to get my refund but if she knew what she was talking about and read the return policy on the AE website she would have seen that online purchases could be refunded via the integrated computer program. Read moreAll I can say about this place is I’ve literally never had a good experience here. All the employees don’t know what they’re doing. Manager doesn’t help at all. Problems from in store customer service to orders placed online and never showing up in store (from what they claim yet the email states otherwise). ALSO, they delete bad reviews. This is the 3rd bad review I’ve left for this location. Every time I come on google the review is gone. A year ago their average reviews were 2.5 stars.
