You would think a place with "Thai" in the name would be better at Thai food, but this place failed pretty hard. To start, their menu is misleading. They advertise "pad Thai only" for 2.99, but when you ask about it, they point to a sticky note posted lower on the wall that says the least expensive one they offer is the "egg only" for 6.99, and meat bumps the price even higher. Not a combo, either, just the main dish itself. Had to wait close to 10 min because they didn't have any of the chicken prepared for pad Thai. When I finally got the food and sat down to try it, it didn't look, smell, or taste like any of the Pad Thai I've enjoyed at literally dozens of other restaurants in SC and GA. In fact, I couldn't detect a hint of any of the spices or ingredients that give that dish it's unique flavor; the only similarities were noodles, chicken, egg, and an Asian chili sauce. So it wasn't actual pad thai--it was a bland chicken noodle dish. As if this wasn't a poor enough showing, I tried a couple of the samples of the signature dishes they were pushing, and they both tasted identical to items I'd purchased at the Chinese restaurant a few stalls down from them. TL:DR - THIS IS NOT A THAI RESTAURANT. It is a generic, Americanized Asian food joint that tries to differentiate itself from its neighbors by offering bubble tea and a...
Read moreNothing like it used to be. I've gone here for years and always loved it, and now despite the large price increase, the quality has gone way down. The mango chicken isn't in the sauce anymore, they mix plain sweet and sour chicken with a little sauce before giving it to you. The bangkok chicken is just tangy, and the lemon pepper you can barely taste lemon or anything anymore. All the flavor profiles have gone way down. Noodles are still good. Also, they are only doing egg rolls even thought the wonton sign is still up. The sample of mango chicken was obviously sitting in the sauce for a while, so they make the samples taste better than the actual entrees which is just disappointing after loving their food for...
Read moreI usually eat here every time I eat in the Food Court at the mall. The only complaint I have is usually my mom's favorite dish is dried out and when she asks for it they took a spoon from another container containing shrimp (which my mother is allergic to) and gave my mother a scoop of the dried out dish. My mother is always upset when they do this, which is quite often. And my mom since has just ordered something else. But besides that the staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming and my food is always fresh and delicious (probably because everyone orders the same thing I do so they have to keep making more). I recommend this place to everyone to try at least once and I will definitely be...
