I've been a customer of Furniture Fair Greenville, NC for many years, buying numerous items. Always took advantage of their sales and finance offers. Up until my last purchase when I was treated like they were more interested in their bottom line than resolving a problem and keeping a good customer. That is too bad, for them, and for me. I purchased a Corinthian power reclining loveseat on November 29th of 2021. The loveseat was on display at the Greenville store, so I was able to check out the power reclining feature and to see how comfortable it was. The loveseat appeared to be of very good quality and well made. So, I made the purchase and picked up the loveseat from their loading dock the next day. I set up the loveseat in my family room and was very pleased with my purchase. So, over the holidays the new loveseat was used by myself and my wife, and we loved the power reclining feature. So maybe the defect was there all along, but I did not notice until I was having trouble with my back. What I realized is the seat cushion on both sides did not have ample support and the seat cushion would sink lower on the outside when sitting. So, when you sit down, your upper body would be leaning to the outside instead of up straight, and that is why myself and my wife were having back trouble. To alleviate this issue, we would put extra cushioning on the seat to the outside. I felt like this was a manufacturing defect, so I contacted the store in Greenville on January 6, 2022, and was given the phone number for the Jacksonville store who takes care of all repair and replacement issues. So, someone came on January 19th to check the issue. On February 14th, I was contacted by the repair department and was told that new mechanisms had be ordered and will arrive in 2-8 weeks since parts are coming for overseas in a container. This was not the ideal situation for me, having made the purchase of this loveseat for $1800 and I also had purchased the 5-year protection plan. Over two months later on April 25th, having not heard back, I called and was told the parts had been delayed and would be arriving "shortly". Not happy with this situation I contacted the salesperson and the sales manager but had to leave messages since neither were available. Never got the first phone call from either. I guess they don't deal with problems very well. It appeared to me they saw me as the problem and not the loveseat. On May 18th I called and checked for any progress in getting the parts and was told it would be two or three weeks. Finally, on June 21st the loveseat was picked up to be repaired at the store. On July 23rd I heard back that repairs have been completed and delivery can be scheduled back to my residence. At this point, I went to the Greenville store to check to see if the problem had been resolved. Was not surprised to find that nothing had been done to resolve the issue with the seat cushioning. I talked to the sales manager and was told they had done all they are willing to do. I would not get a refund so I could buy another loveseat in the store or just a simple exchange for one that did not have the problem. Was told this issue went all the way to top management and any refund or exchange was denied. Just a side note.... I had planned to buy the entire set including the sofa and single recliner, but I could not do business with a company that treats a customer like I had been treated. So, the bottom line is that Furniture Fair did not resolve the issue, and they have lost a good customer who has bought thousands of dollars of merchandise over the last twenty some years. And I really enjoyed going...

Let me start by saying look at my Yelp history, I don't do many reviews but felt I had to warn other potential victims of this company.
I purchased two electric recliners from this store a love-seat and couch recliner with center console. When we purchased the sofa the sales person sold us on a insurance policy that was supposed to cover "anything the manufacturer warranty didn't, other than animal scratches." Feeling that this would cover us for any unforeseeable issues we purchased the two recliners for around 2,900 so not cheap, and the warranty was another 300.00 on top.
The fact is we should have read the full warranty information. To include the fine print because, what the store person stated was a lie used to sell the couches. The warranty only covers a small amount of wear and tear nothing major. No where near 300.00 worth. Manufacture warranty supposedly covers motors and electrical for 5 years. I'm sure unless I need to use it then nothing will be covered.
We found out that the warranty was garbage way to late. After owning the couches for only 6 months we started noticing that they were poorly constructed and not wearing well. Since we figured even if they do fix them they probably would only cover them once we decided to wait to have them repaired. So we waited and put up with the couches losing all comfort and back support for another year, figuring that we had the warranty to cover it. I will include some photos to show how badly these couches broke down and where the leather became brittle and split open.
So now it has been a year and 6 months and we have finally got to a point where we just can't tolerate even siting in them anymore, so we call. The first person we talk to says oh, "no problem you have your warranty so I will call up and have the stuffing re-ordered." It should be in about two weeks from now. We will call you when it comes in and arrange for the service. A month later we call back to see why we haven't heard anything. This time the employee that answer states that she doesn't know who we talked to but that it is not covered by either warranty manufacturers or the one we purchased from the store. Then being so good at customer service she proceeds to inform us "that we should have read the full warranty when we purchased and not listened to the sales person who sold it to us."
So I now have two unusable pieces of garbage that no longer support in anyway shape or form that the store refuses to cover their cheaply made products. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! They will do/say anything to get the sale but the furniture they sell here is not quality furniture based on my experience. I have had really cheap couches in the past that lasted me five years. These didn't even make the year. To be honest they didn't even last six months. Very...
Read moreI purchased a 4 pc living room set along with 3 tables and 2 lamps after I thoroughly checked out the floor model. I finally got it 8 -12 weeks later but they didn't call me I had to call them to find out that it had arrived. The first time we sat on it we heard the wood snap. We noticed the sharp side of the staples protruding outwards in 3 of the pieces, there were nicks and scratches in the leather looking material, the cushions were missing in the arms of the sofa, love seat and the chair and a half. I IMMEDIATELY took pictures and called to report my findings. I called several times before I finally went to the store to talk to a manager. He actually did the report in front of me and then followed up with a courtesy call. Afterwards, I never heard from a representative so I had to call back to find out what was taking so long. They said that they had to schedule the rep to come out to look at the furniture. I said I just wanted a refund but no one addressed that issue. They had the rep come out and he seemed appaulled that so much was wrong with this new set. He left my house and I never heard another word until I called back. They said the materials and parts arrived so they could now schedule to have them delivered. Which they never did so I called again. Next they said that they would schedule a appointment to come fix the furniture. I wasn't home when they finally delivered the repair material so my son let them stack the boxes against my beautiful walls in my living room, (instead of suggesting to store them in my garage). Now they've been sitting there for about a week or 2, I called back today July 8 to ask what date were they going to come to fix my furniture. They said they were supposed to call me to schedule an appointment. Which they once again did not do. Now more than 2 months later I told them to tell the store manager or owner that I want my money back and they can come pick up this furniture or I will deliver it. If they refuse, the next time I speak to them it will be in court. PLEASE SPARE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM FURNITURE FAIR. My order came from overseas, the quality and warranty is very poor and the service from Furniture Fair is very...
