Breakfast - wasn't sure if it was buffet, seat yourself, what....apparently it is order by menu and/or buffet. two staff were nearby. They didn't acknowledge me while I waited for a table so I sat myself. They didn't acknowledge me (3 other tables total) after I sat down. After 5 to 10 minutes I went to hotel desk, where wait staff was now standing. They told me to have a seat and they would be with me... very rude. I started to walk to my room but turned around since I need my AM coffee. They still never came to my table. I got food at the buffet which someone else pointed out to me. I got my own coffee. The new waitress brought me my check. She told me no rush. I said it was great to finally be acknowledged. She said "ma'am, you are rude, you should have waited like we told you to at the front desk (of the hotel lobby, not restaurant), it is my first day you are rude, you don't want me to send my coworker over. Ma'am, we are very busy, it is a buffet, you could seat yourself and help yourself." I told her it was my first day here too, I didn't know if it was a buffet or what. No one told me. There aren't signs, the buffet is tucked into a little nook. She kept talking to me. She kept interrupting me waving her hands while I am seated. She was maybe 18 inches fron my face waving her hands and would not shut up. I asked her for her name and she told me it doesn't matter. I asked her to leave me alone... she kept saying "ma'am you are rude" All I wanted was a cup of coffee. I don't know how their dinner staff is, but this was atrocious. I took my breakfast and coffee and went to my room.

edited: the owner/manager called me this morning after this and was very apologetic. The way that she handed the situation would draw me to try to...

Extremely disappointed in our experience here. Would honestly give no stars if I could. Found this place in 2021 (different name and quality then) and my family and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Remembering the food, service, and ambience from the previous dinner, I was excited to return.

Understanding it was a “southern style” restaurant, I specifically told them I have a pork allergy. The dish I ordered had pork in it, yet it was NOT mentioned in the description on menu nor did the waiter mention anything while ordering. When I saw the bits of pork in the dish, I inquired about it and the staff was unapologetic and unhelpful.

I ordered a different, vegetarian dish (to be on the safe side) and unfortunately the food was just not tasty, certainly not the same chef and/or menu as before (2021). Two of my other friends ordered their steaks rare and med rare. Both steaks were made very well done (at best). There was no offer to correct their errors and our waiter even seemed irritated that we brought up our concerns (the allergy, over cooked steaks).

To top things off, they charged us an “unboxing fee” after THEY offered us an additional plate for the birthday cake we brought with us, without mentioning any associated “fees” beforehand.

Given what our dinner party spent, this was an absolutely terrible experience at this place. We will not return, nor recommend that any of our network patronize this place until there is new management,...

Julep was a nice place to be inside. You definitely get the feeling it's a "fancy" restaurant.

There wasn't much wait, seating arrangements for us were a nice distance from others. Tables are arranged in a manner you won't have to worry about feeling crowded. Unfortunately some of the two person tables are so close having any sort of intimate conversation is out of the question, but I'm sure Julep would be accommodating if you'd rather wait for a more isolated area.

Food presentation was great, execution left a bit to be desired:

Ordered a medium rare steak and received medium at best, well done on a far end. It was a ribeye, but an average cut. Seasoning and mushroom demi were above average for sure. Hushpuppy side order was both over and under cooked, too high of heat and too large of a puppy left the exterior too dark and interior too wet. Deviled eggs looked good but were under seasoned. Dill on top, nice touch though! Roast chicken overall pretty good! Mixed drinks were also good.

The TV at the bar showing sports is really out of place there. Live music was tasteful and not too loud, positive marks there, but that could change one artist to the next.

Had to get my own water refills.

Ticket was $135ish for two, not including tip. I'd love to go back to give them another chance but that's a real thinker given the price and simple technical mistakes made...

The $17 dollar pizza was over cooked, luke warm, and tastes like cardboard. I’ve had better pizzas from the freezer at Walmart. The pineapple upside-down cake appeared to be a slice of pineapple on a old breakfast muffin with sauce drizzled on top. I didn’t attempt to eat the salad. With the additional fees hotels charge and an additional tip, the cost was more than $65.00. The menu didn’t have a lot of options but apparently I chose the wrong one. I expect to pay more at a hotel, especially a Hilton, but with the limited menu and unsavory food, I don’t see how this resturant will survive.
