To be clear, for the actual furniture store, I would give it a 0 if I could. For the dining set that I got, 10/10 love it. So let me explain
I came in here March 23rd, 2024. I actually didn't expect to buy anything because none of the furniture stores we had been to all that day had what we wanted so when the woman greeted me I kinda brushed her off and said we were just looking. After a little while she came back and asked again if she could help us. I explained that we wanted a corner bench dining set and that they probably wouldn't have it because no other place around here did. She said that even though they operate out of this small store they actually have several warehouses and vendors they work with and we could take a look at their inventory on an ipad. To my complete and utter surprise they actually HAD what we wanted, we could even order it in different colors and choose if we wanted additional bench seating or chairs and could order as few or as many chairs as we wanted. I was over the moon. They were extremely courteous and even patient and kind to my children which I really appreciate because it was late in the day and they were tired from going in and out to so many stores. So after a few clicks and a card swipe for $1200, we had successfully ordered exactly what I wanted and I could not have been happier then. To be fair, my receipt says "Please allow approx 5 weeks for delivery." I wasn't in a super rush for it and it was exactly what I wanted so that was fine by me... fast forward..
1 month, don't hear from them 2 months, don't hear from them 2.5 months, getting nervous.
FOUR MONTHS LATER (7-23-24 to be exact) (for those of you counting that's approx 16 weeks, not 5)
FOUR MONTHS LATER. We get our table. Now this is after numerous times of me calling them, them not returning my phone calls, making lame excuses and absolutely NO remedy for the situation. They made NO effort to make this right and I am writing this review almost 2 weeks after getting the table because I expected at least 1 phone call. You know, something like "did you get it ok? do you like it? is there anything else we can help you with?" but not a single peep from them. This store owner will get your money and then brush you off to get the next sale. As I stated I am extremely satisfied with my table, we all love it very much.    Read moreI hate that I even have to write this. As a manager who specializes in top tier customer service, I can assure you that working with this local business has been nothing short of disappointing, and downright scammy.
I ordered a simple bed frame on July 1st, directly from the owner, Mark and his gorgeous Great Danes. We were chatting and laughing it up because he said it might take a couple of weeks, and I joked that I could just sleep on my mattress for a few weeks like I did back in my college days. He told me that it should only take about 2-3 weeks max, and that his assistant would call me the next day with a confirmed delivery date/time. She called me the next day, but then said their system was down, and would have to call me back in a few. This was July 2nd. I never heard back from anyone, so I called again on July 6th, and was told by the same woman that she was “with a customer and would call me right back”.
Fast forward to July 11th, I called the store about 4 times in a row before the same woman answered, and proceeded to tell me that the bed should be delivered by the end of the first week in August, “as I was originally told”. I politely explained to her that is NOT what I was originally told. Mark said 2-3 weeks, which would mean July 22nd at the latest! Either way, I agreed to continue and wait at this point because it would only be one or two more additional weeks.
NOPE! Here we are on August 12th, a full 6 weeks later, and ZERO RESPONSE from this place. I called and spoke to the same woman again today. I explained that I will need a full refund at this point, because I did not receive my item, and I am in serious need of a functional bed frame at this point, which I can easily buy on Amazon or used somewhere else. She told me that “she has to speak to the owner about refunds and get back to me”. Shockingly, they haven’t called me back today. I highly doubt they will call me back tomorrow either….
They will, however, have to answer to myself and my enraged family members when we show up at their store this week.
I am currently disputing all charges from Marked Down Furniture due to the fact that I DID NOT receive my goods.

   Read moreWe’ve had an absolutely horrible experience with this store. We purchased a glider chair in December for our baby’s nursery, and let them know our due date was May 18th. We were told the chair could take awhile but should be here by then or just a little after. Now we are being told it will be July before we receive it. We were never warned that it could take this long. My baby has already been born, and I have nothing to rock or nurse him in, which was the entire reason we even purchased the chair. We have kept in touch with the store to get updates throughout this time and once we were told we wouldn’t have the chair by the time the baby came we asked for a refund. The chair hadn’t even started being built at this point, so we felt it was a reasonable request as the store wouldn’t be losing any money. Not only that, but they had told us when we ordered the chair that this model sells as soon as it hits the sales floor, so even if the store couldn’t cancel the order with the manufacturer, they should have no problem selling it immediately (we ordered a very neutral grey upholstery). But we were told that a refund was absolutely not possible, and they even got a little nasty with my husband on the phone. Since we couldn’t get a refund this meant we weren’t even able to go buy something somewhere else. I’m a one-time mom, this will be my only baby - rocking my newborn is an experience I’ve always dreamed of having and now I will never have it, so this is about more than just a chair to me, and we even tried explaining that to them but they didn’t seem to care. I understand that there are supply issues with furniture right now due to Covid, and I recognize that these issues aren’t the store’s fault, but as the customer they aren’t my fault either.
