I have used this store for numerous print jobs. Not following instructions contributed to ruining my wedding day. First of all, a lot of the print does not come out straight. I learned this when I used this company to print the menus for my wedding. The prints were fine, but all of my menus, which I spent hours and hundreds of dollars on printing were crooked. I paid High for figures for two photographers and two videographers to do magazine quality, photography, and videography of my special day. We figured that this was a one time mistake and shrug it off. However, they printed my programs which I spent over 15 hours designing myself and did not even follow the directions on the print instructions. I checked this twice and my husband also proofread it all twice. Not only was the size wrong, but so was the print job. They were again, printed slightly crooked and did not fill to the edge. I did not have time or resources to send for a reprint at a more adequate company. I was absolutely heartbroken and livid. I already had so many other much more larger things go wrong with my special day, custom pieces that I spent hours and hours designing being printed incorrectly was just yet another blow. But it doesn’t even stop there. I printed the menus for my rehearsal dinner, also carefully curated over the course of Multiple days, and they cut them in half without permission. Now, I had already printed my dinner menus for the wedding using this company and knew that they were incapable of cutting a straight line, so I did not request that these be cut in half. However, once again, they did not cut them correctly and they did not print straight, so they trimmed them down beyond the included framing detail, and cut them in half crooked yet again. That only were they now not the correct size, but they were also not straight and they excluded a really important piece of detail. The gentleman I spoke to to check on my orders was wonderful. He was very nice very professional five star customer service. However, I’m not sure who completed my print job, however, while I was able to show Grace on the first mistake and didn’t even make a big fuss, I will never use Office Depot for any of my multiple business accounts or personally use ever again, and I will make sure that none of my clients are recommended to use this company for anything print related or involving manual labor ever again. it was absolutely heartbreaking. I double checked the order sheets, and nowhere did it say to cut the menus or to trim them. It also did not say to print smaller than the actual piece of paper on the programs. I think the worst part is that I assumed that I made the mistake even after being absolutely gutted the day before my wedding, seeing my print jobs. The mistake may not mean much to you and your employee, but I can’t get my day back. I also have all of the photos and videos with the stupid ugly menus and the incorrectly printed programs. If you divide out the cost of photographers, that’s multiple hundreds of dollars also ruined and the inability to actually use the photos for any future print or marketing meets. They ruined all of my shots. A refund would still be inefficient for the headache and heartbreak that the ignorance and...
Read moreIf you're needing to make a return, store will only honor half the purchase price, even with a physical receipt.
I purchased a new Swiss Backpack (609590) a few months ago. I maintained the receipt and other retail promotional tags. I returned the product with the original receipt, purchased 12/30/2022. Return executed 5/15/2023.
Recently, one of the should strap buckles broke. Instead of dealing with Swiss' 5 yr warranty, I decided to return the bag, being a recent purchase.
During the return, the Manager failed to explain several things before completing the return transaction.
The manager processed it without much questioning other than the reason for the return, I showed her the broken shoulder strap, and she proceeded with the return, holding my receipt in her hands. She didn't offer to exchange the item, which given the outcome, I might have considered.
Wrongly, I assumed the amount would be refunded to my credit card, and that would be that.
Despite having presented the original paper receipt, she processed the return as "Return -Receipt Not Present", and refunded half the amount to a "Return Card". When she said a "Return Card", I misunderstood her to mean she would return the amount to my card, not a 'Return card" which is actually a Gift Card. So I was surprised when she handed me a gift card, and the transaction couldn't be reversed for some reason. I knew when I had been beaten, so I took the card with a mild complaint, and vowed never to use that store again.
She misrepresented two things before I could halt the process.. one- she never warned me I would only receive HALF the money back, even with a receipt. Two.. that my money would be returned to my card..
After I use the credit on the 'Return Card' aka gift card, I will avoid this store location going forward, and Office Depot and OfficeMax in general.
Your manager was clever, deceitful, and you've shortchanged and gipped the wrong customer.
PS The store appearance is grim, to say the least. It's a grey dank store, uninviting, and I am sure it must be a dreary...
Read moreMy husband and I went to one of your stores today and the customer service was awe-inspiringly bad. We had two goals and twenty minutes which should have been more than sufficient.
Mail a package Print an essay.
My husband went to the kiosk and a woman came over and began to show him how to fill out the online forms. Another woman behind the counter asked a question and the first lady - call her Brunette - walked over to answer the question telling my husband she'd be right back. She answered her co-worker's question - coworker is called Brenda - she eventually failed to help me - and then did not go back to my husband. Instead she served seven other people first and he eventually had to physically grab her as she was walking by him to an eighth to get her to finish the process.
I went to Brenda and told her I needed an essay printed off a gig stick. She did not know how to find the stick, how to open the file, how to print the file - and she also stopped in the middle of talking to me to serve two other customers. When she finally did give me the file in print format my debit card was declined - I had entered the wrong pin, my bad, but as I reached for my wallet to get a different card she walked away completely. I never saw her again and ended up paying up front at the registry. Whole thing took 45 minutes and we were late to our next appt.
I attempted to follow this up with the Office Depot chat service and that dropped the connection three times. So olay, Staples for me from now on. Cheaper...
