I just recently traded in a laptop at Trade It a couple of weeks ago. I told them the amount of what Best Buy would give me for trading it, and they beat it. I've since used some of this money to get some speakers. They tested them out before I purchased them and gave me extra speaker wire. All of the associates have been very courteous to me, but I've noticed that they haven't always been courteous to everyone. However, I've also noticed that the clientele can also be lacking. While I was trying to trade in my laptop, an individual came in with a television that clearly had been stolen. Considering the situation, the manager acted accordingly about the situation.
Update: I just recently received an email from Trade It asking past customers to rate their experiences with the store. To make a long story short, apparently, for the individuals that are giving the survey 5 stores, they are publicly posting those reviews on their website and possibly other sites. For individuals who give the store less than 5 stars, they are blocking the surveys from being publicly posted. When this happens, the surveyor then watches a patronizing and condescending video of the owner who explains why their survey feedback was not publicly posted. This is absolutely pathetic, and it is a bad business practice. The owner needs to take into account that constructive feedback is just as useful as positive feedback. Finally, no one should publicly post information from a survey without an individual's consent. Most importantly, only posting the positive reviews that meet a certain criteria skews the reality of this business.
I will never buy or purchase anything from this...
Read moreThey are ok as pawnshop, thats if you get lucky and find what your looking for. They got a nice set of Classic games but thats if they end up working. The Computer i bought from there well lets say i had to spend a handful amount of money to fix them back up and actually run better than a Mac OSX. One was missing an Enternet Driver update, the other one goes to a blue screen.. And when you take them back they either wont refund your money or have you wait almost a week just tell you something you already know and say they cant do anything cause they "dont know" if i was the one who did this to the computer? Like no? And i come over there with some consoles i was trying to sell cause i lost the power cable and wasnt going to plan and buy another cable for it. They wont accpet it if its not a complete set.. But they will happily take a chainsaw with no chain.. Or a used outlet cable or chairs.. And they offer you $1-5$ or even 25¢ for an old game.. When the game has a value of 100$. If they really wanna increase their sales.. First start with the staff. Get people who know value and know how to sell and buy.. And have you wait while they go ask their manager "do we buy this or no?" Like you dont even see the money you could easily make from this when im just simply asking for like 5$ for this and its yours. Im in the marketing business my self. I work for a company that sells and buys $5,000-$14,000 equipment.. But those are my thoughts. No wonder ratings are 3/5...

Honestly, haven't been in there in over two years and a lot has changed for the better. Staff has a new energy, managers actually assist quickly, and overall the pricing for items is reasonable enough. (could you sell more with facebook, gamestop, or other means, yes, but gas and time is money that they make up for) If you are going to bring in garbage expect garbage they have on a white board the high selling items, and they do great in explaining why or why not they are going to trade something with you.
My little story: I went in for a mixer and maybe some odds and ends for a PC I am upgrading, I stayed in and out of the store for well over three hours. (even came back after I ran some errands after thinking about some things) Since I have not been in the store I was bouncing around which the staff was more than happy to answer any of my 1000 questions. After coming back from an hour long dinner with my girlfriend we decided the mixer was not for her. So we just kept looking. During that time Elijah was patient and waited for me to make up my mind on a few things for over a few hours. The patience on that man is unbelievable.
I ended up selling a AEG Carbine M16DST Airsoft Gun and my Apple Series 6 Watch. Got some decent in store credit and then bought myself a new Series 2 Apple Ultra Watch for a steal. Needless to say I will be...
