I’ve been here for a year.

Pros: the maintenance team responds very quickly. There’s lots of closet space. All utilities are included. Which was really the selling point for me. Quiet and safe apartment complex.

Cons: I’ve had to contact maintenance far too many times. On the very first night I moved in, which was a cold snowing winter day, my hot water was out. The maintenance technician responded quickly and relit the pilot. The water heater went out again a few months later and the maintenance team replaced the entire unit. Fast forward to the summer right as it started heating up, my AC went out. They were unable to repair as the temps kept rising and it reached over 90° in my apartment which was even hotter than the outside temp at that point. The maintenance team gave me a portable ac unit which I put in my bedroom with the door closed. It barely kept my room cool but I was still thankful and I made so in this situation for about a week before they finally replaced the entire AC unit.

Overall, I feel the apartments are extremely dated and in dire need of renovations but the property owners are much too stingy to do that. My bathroom sink fixtures are so old that there’s holes rusted through. The carpet is old and was kinda crunchy from a poor shampoo job. The walls look like there’s 300 coats of paint. The kitchen appliance are also very old. I pay $900 for a one bedroom apartment. I could live downtown for this amount and I feel that I should at least have some updates and renovations. It’s a terrible place to live. You pay for housing but are treated disrespectfully. I recently moved into a townhome noticed problems from the get go. Some issues were fixed others I was told they couldn’t get fixed or just let it run longer or there is no issue. Noticed dishwasher issues was told to run longer for it to dry, found standing water in the filter area and bad odor coming from it when ran. Eventually after complaining repeatedly I was told I would be getting a new one which took 3 weeks. It’s the same one I complained about , was installed and ran with the new plastic still inside while being ran. Opened the filter area to already find standing water in the bottom…again. Management and maintenance are clueless in regard’s too taking care of the tenants. They are only out for money and up charges of stupid stuff. They charge for when grass is over 3 inches but don’t hold to their own standards of the grass which they have to maintain. They charge for when a pipe gets clogged that’s not your fault. Pipes burst every two weeks in this place. Street lights don’t work. You lose a pool pass or don’t turn it in at the end of season it’s a big charge. During a post walk move out inspection they check under doors for door damage and if you don’t check it when you move in they get with a charge then. My fiancé and I have never rented from a place before. This was our first apartment. They look nice but they just suck. We moved in 2017 and moved out in 2018. When visiting and looking at the demo there was 3 police cars in front of the building. She had apologized and said “ there are never really any problems here” the first night we moved in there were police. And police cars almost every week. After 5 days we had our door busted open by U.S Marshall’s in the morning. I was 16 weeks pregnant and didn’t want to deal with this. They told us they were looking for a drug dealer who had Us as his address. The US Marshalls were really nice and told them over at the office that our door wasn’t up todate and that it had popped open when they knocked. They never came to fix it. All the appliances were out dated, mold in the bathroom and big ant infestations in the summer. Office ladies always seemed snobby when I talked to them and when we moved out it took them 3 months later to send our deposit back. Just STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
