This store is always great. I frequented this store and have purchased thousands of dollars in items from them. I give this low score to the manager on duty (Theresa) on Saturday evening July 12th. I haven't encountered a person as disinterested, rude and crude as this manager. She absolutely is not in the correct career path. In my many purchases at this store I have purchased many hand guns and rifles. I have purchased here historically because of the kindness and professionalism of the staff and, of course, the prices. This evening my son and I both went in to purchase handsguns. One for each of us. To be sure, the employee at the gun counter was amazing. Engaged, friendly and efficient. The problem started with the manager. First, it was 20 minutes after she was contacted for a paperwork validation before she arrived. As she arrived at the gin counter she was obviously disinterested, disconnected and horribly slow. I understand at one point the computer shut down, but zero communication about what was taking so long. As I started to voice my disbelief on how long it was taking after the sale (upwards of an hour for three customers) she became very defensive and rude. I engaged her about her rudeness and she became beligerent. As my son and I walked away to terminate the exchange she followed us to the front of the store telling us to leave and never come back. I stopped and asked one employee what the managers name was and she accosted the employee for taking to me. On top of being horribly rude, she violated several federal firearms laws on three separate occasions (3 different customers waiting on her to do her job). It is a federal law for an FFL to provide a non FFL purchaser a firearm safety locking device. My handgun did not have one in it. It is a federal firearm law that an FFL provide paperwork about the safe use of a firearm. Neither my son or I received this paperwork. The purpose of the paperwork check is to validate the paperwork and the purchaser. She failed to properly validate the identity of either of the three customers, including myself, that I observed. I also should have been afforded the opportunity to validate serial numbers of the firearm and the paperwork, which was not afforded to me as a personnel protection against firearm fraud. This person is obviously not properly trained to be a manager over chicken feed, much less people or firearms. She is not interested in being a proficient or professional manager. Buyer beware of the manager Theresa. Completely ruined the experience of buying a new firearm. I would expect followup from Rural King about this experience and followup on federal...

As we made our way around the store and completed our list, we decided to look at their guns. My wifeās birthday is the 26th (next week) and if she saw something she liked, I would get it as an early present. Everything was still great, we were greeted in the firearm section by Steve ( retired military and police). He was very nice and helpful. We eventually found a pistol my wife wanted, so we began the process with Steve in the mayhem of business that overtook. After 2hours of waiting on paperwork and hearing how terrible the managers were, we finally got ready to have someone come read over the paperwork. Still no issues at this point other than the long waiting. As we stood there for the final process, we heard Steve and his other associate talking about how there were 3 managers sitting in the office doing nothing, and when asked to help they said they couldnāt. Mind you that the manager has to go over the final paperwork. Finally after another 20 minutes we were getting ready to check out and we were dealing with a gentleman by the name of dale. He immediately was extremely disrespectful, treating us as if we were criminals, talking about breaking the law. At one point he declined the sale of the firearm for no reason at all as everything had been approved and signed. I told him to be nice and he continued to have a very aggressive tone towards my wife and I. If he would have been calm, collected, and kind everything would have went smoothly for the rest of the final process. Instead, Dale ( assistant manager), you ruined our experience, weāre very unprofessional, aggressive, and made us feel like terrible people. I hope that this reaches the right person/persons because you should not be working at Rural King Dale, or in customer service. The second I mentioned the specific gun I wanted to buy the guy at the counter (Ryan) started laughing and told me I might as well just give him the money instead because he would spend it better. Then he proceeded to belittle my decision by saying that it makes a better club than a gun and that I could tie a rope to it and throw it at people instead. Rather than telling me facts about the gun and politely persuading me to look at a more reliable gun, he was disrespectful and belittling and overall a complete jerk. Then as I went to purchase the gun he asked me if the address on my license was current and I said yes to which he replies "I can tell if you're lying". I said it is my legal address and asked why he would say that. His response was, "are you going to go there tonight and sleep?" He had no right to continue to question me beyond asking me if my address was current and yet he would not believe me for no apparent reason. I told him to give me my license back and I walked out empty handed. The worst part about it is that when I called the manager to complain she was just as rude and disrespectful by telling me that it was because he was the only one working and was busy which was far from the truth since 5 minutes before when I was there he was one of three working there with me as the only customer. So instead of apologizing she made an excuse for him and told me "she would talk to him" and hung up on me. She hung up on me...
