Although service was great and Pixie was nice. I wish it would have been some clarification on the polish selection. I sat down and was asked to choose my my color. When I seen they were colors on like little tips I said no not these. She said you want Polish right and I said yes and she told me to pick a color. Now I don't get my nails done much and don't know the difference between gel & regular nail polish. Pixie never specified that. So when I went to pay & it was $38 I was confused. She said I had gotten gel polish which she never said in the beginning that's what it was. When she told me to pick a color I assumed she understood. She should have asked do you want gel polish but she didn't. Even when I called first and talked to a guy I said regular polish and he said fill in 18. 38 is a price of a new set. Again clarification would have been nice. Next time I will just make what I want very clear. My nails look amazing and i will be back. UPDATE 5-2/3-19 So when I initially went in to get my fill in I had a cracked nail and it was sore. Pixie said my nail wasn't broken it was the acrylic on top so my nail didn't get replaced she just buffed it & went over it w acrylic. A-day or so later I see it started to crack in the exact same place on the same nail. So I call Kim nails speak with the manager she told me that Pixie should have put on a new nail. So I schedule appointment for 1 the next day. I walk in and Pixie was with a customer so the woman next to her did my nail. Pixie asked what happened and I said my nail cracked in the same place as before and she just made a face. I was talking to the woman that was doing my nails about what happened. Then Pixie says well we cant do anything until your nail to grows back. I said I get that BUT if you would have replaced it in the first place like I asked I wouldn't be back here. I said I told you her my nail was crack & you said it wasn't. She just made a ugly face and had nothing else to say. So thank you to Kim and the lady beside Pixie. I will be back just won't go to Pixie. I didn't like the attitude she had towards me in this situation very...
Read moreI visited this salon for the first time nearly two years ago and was a regular for several months, always impressed by the quality of service. Back then, the place was always busy, with every chair full.
After taking a break from getting my nails done for about a year, I decided to return. Unfortunately, I noticed a significant decline in both the atmosphere and professionalism, which was reflected in how empty the salon was. The technician who did my nails initially was amazing—she’s truly an artist. I had hoped to continue with her long-term, but my recent experience left me looking for a new place.
I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment and noticed there were several used nails scattered around her booth on the floor. It was a bit off-putting, especially since it was her first appointment of the day. When my technician finally arrived 15 minutes late without any communication, I was disappointed. There was no apology or explanation.
Additionally, I had hoped to get my nails filled, but I was informed that because I had gel-X, that wasn't an option. I wish this had been communicated to me earlier, especially since I voiced plans to continually do my nails during my first appointment.
During the soak-off, my technician took multiple personal phone calls and made several stops to chat with other staff members about going out after work, effectively putting my appointment she was late for on hold. It felt like a lack of respect for my time and the appointment. I also noticed that another technician arrived 45 minutes late, and some were vaping inside. So I know the issues aren't exclusive to the tech I went to.
I really hope the salon can improve, as it was once a great place. I came in planning to spend over $100 today, but ended up leaving only spending $17 on the soak-off. I just hope they can return to the level of service they once offered. However, I am swearing this place off and looking for...
Read moreIf I could give a negative star review I would! My sister went here to get her nails done for prom. She called and had an appointment. When she showed up before two other girls from school, the other two were helped before her. She was then made to wait 30 mins. Then she asked for a deep red matte gel polish and got this result. When she left, her nails were so sticky that they were sticking to the paper towel after she washed her hands. She got in the car and sent me the following pictures. I told her this was completely unacceptable and to go back and make them fix them. When she reentered, she showed them how badly they looked, and they stated that they looked completely fine and didn't see the problem. She proceeded to tell them she was unhappy and to remove them so she could go somewhere else. They continued to argue with her about them, stating over and over that they looked fine and they were not going to fix them and somehow this was her fault. She then also said that if she wasn't in "such a bad mood" they would have turned out better... My father had to finally come and intervene for them to somewhat take off the gel... They then proceeded to not give the full amount back, only refunded $5, and then stating that her $5 tip was not sufficient. (Mind you her total was only $28 so her tip was plenty sufficient especially since this was the result!) Please do not go here and give this terrible terrible place anymore business because they were awful to a 17 year old girl just trying to get her nails done for her first prom! What...
