I will never spend another dime with Kohl's. I only return Amazon products here. During COVID I placed a fairly large order because I knew I would eventually return back to the office. My order was delivered in April 2020. I tried everything on and it did fit at the time. I kept all tags on and my receipt just in case. When I had to go back into the office end of September 2020 one of the shirts I purchased was too big and fell off me. I went to Kohl's first chance I had given the shorter shopping hours & my longer work scheduled because I hadn't been inside the office for months. My daughter had a kart full of clothes, we were planning to spend close to $1000.
I went to customer service to return the $30 shirt, which was never worn, had the tags & stickers, and I had my original receipt. I was 2 days past the 6 month return window. I had always been told Kohl's had a flexible return policy which I honestly NEVER utilized because outside of COVID we normally enjoy our goodies almost immediately. I spoke with the manager, calmly explaining I'm about to spend close to $1000, every Black Friday I usually spend another $1000, reviewing my Kohl's cc history I typically spend $5,000-7,000 a year just at Kohl's.
The manager refused to return a $30 dress shirt that was in original condition. I told him he lost my business I would never spend a single cent in Kohl's the rest of my life and I have not spend any money there since April 2020. I will pay more money at another retailer that appreciates my business and understands client service.
I know my measly $5,000-7,000 won't bankrupt Kohl's but I also know Kohl's is barely escaping bankruptcy these days. I am positive their lack of client service contributes to this as well as their lack of business...
Read moreCustomer satisfaction means nothing to this store, not even to the site manager! I made a purchase using a 30% off store wide coupon. They only took the 30% off on a few off the low cost items. I went back with the items that they didn't give me the discount on, and their reply was that those brands don't except their discount anymore (stopped within the last couple months) and that they couldn't do anything. They said that it listed the exceptions on the coupon. I had the coupon with me and showed them that the brands were not listed on it. Then they replied that it's listed on the sign in the department where they are found. I went back to the department, it wasn't listed on the sales sign. Then they said the cashier would have told me at checkout. If the cashier had told me the coupon wouldn't apply, then I wouldn't have made the purchase. The whole time the store manager just kept saying there was nothing she could do. The truth is that she didn't want to do anything. No refund of the difference, no in store credit, no gift card, no kohls cash, absolutely nothing. Finally, I convinced her to just return the items. From now on I will just drive to a different store. The Franklin and Southport stores aren't that much...
Read moreUpdated 1/8/20: My son and I went into the store to do two things: exchange a pair of shoes that I ordered online for a different size and return an Amazon item. They have moved the Amazon returns to the back of the store. And they could not do an exchange on the shoes. So we had to stand in THREE lines: (1) to return the shoes we purchased at the front of the store, (2) at the Amazon kiosk at the back of the store and (3) at one of the order kiosks in the store to order new shoes ourselves. This is not a very good customer experience.
Original review November, 2019: This place has really gone down hill lately. Shelves are messy, things are in the wrong place. Lots of items are in the wrong hanger size. There people working the floor are not very friendly. I don't know if they just aren't staffing well enough to keep things nice or what. When they have discounts (which is really often), you can get some great deals. You just have to work for it. I think this store is even more messy...
