An employee at this Macy’s location has been running our debit card without our permission and charging us for a mattress pad. We bought a mattress and pad 2 months ago and the pad was not delivered with the mattress. They told us we could just cancel or they could send another truck. We opted to cancel. In July 26, a month later an employee charged out debit card $179 and scheduled a delivery for something we didn’t even want or order. No call or anything, we found out when we balanced our check book! After hours of talking to 3 different employees over the phone, one of which rudely insisted she fixed the problem and flat out refused to get a supervisor on the phone. For some reason it is impossible to get ahold of corporate. After all this the charge came off our account. How ever last night the debit card was ran again for the same amount and we are planning on going to speak with the GM of Macy’s Greenwood. Apparently an employee of Macy’s seems to think that they can run our card anytime they feel like it. Let me state a fact, she can’t run our card at all without permission. Permission was never given. THIS IS THEFT OR CONSUMER FRAUD! We are going to press criminal charges on whatever employee IF number is responsible for this! If the GM can’t be bothered in a Sunday we will show up with the police. There is absolutely no reason they should have our credit card info written down anywhere in this facility. As soon as I finish this review I will be getting ahold of the Indiana Attorney General. I may also call the news. THIS IS NOT A MISTAKE. We purchased the mattress back in May/June and every time we turn around we have another $179 charge on our account. This is the 3rd time an employee has ran our debit card. Macy’s needs to change their whole system of mattress purchases. We have had it? If we have to contact an attorney you will be paying more than they $179. We will see you today August 1, 2021. Macy’s employees at this Greenwood location will steal your debit info and charge you when they feel like it. This is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen! Why would any employee think they can do this. We fully intend on pressing criminal charges on the...
Read moreI wanted to make a gift for my father, who lives abroad, for his birthday. So, I made an order at Macys.com with overseas delivery and I paid extra for fast shipping. The order was sent by Macy’s’ partner by DHL in two parcels (DHL wasn’t my choice). Then I received email from DHL where the shipping address was different from my addressee’s address. It was not even in the same town. When I contacted DHL, they told me that Macy’s partner, Borderfree provided the wrong address. And DHL could not deliver it to my father's address anyway, because DHL has no office in this town, and he has to come to pick it up in another city, that is, 150 kilometers from him! Then I contacted Macy’s International Support, or Borderfree. (By the way, when you open the Borderfree website, on the first page you see: “The best stores in the world shipping directly to you. From your first search to your front door ... ") So, I contacted to them and I was hoping that they could recall the parcels and send them with a mail that can deliver them to the addressee. Or maybe to arrange delivery from the wrong address to the right address. But I was told that they can not do anything. Then I turned to DHL again. In addition, since Borderfree has changed the address, the packages will be delivered to there. And this is a similar address, but in a different city, where DHL has its office. Smart solution, isn't it? As a result, my order will not be delivered to addressee, and my 70 y.o. father has to go to another city to receive it! Or to lose it. As I was told by DHL, the packages can only be given to him personally, with his passport, and to nobody else. I feel terrible! I regret that I chose Macy's for this gift idea. In fact, Macy’s and Borderfree misled me by offering a service they couldn’t actually do for me, and created problems for us instead of the pleasure of making / receiving the gift. I still have no idea what will happen with this order, and there is no support. This is the worst...
Read moreI enjoy shopping at Macy's, Greenwood Park Mall. The store is peaceful when I shop, which is usually right after they open in the morning. To me, that is important. I have never liked crowds or pushy salespeople and I haven't found that to be the case at this store. I remember how aggressive the salespeople were when this location was Lazarus! None of the department stores today are stocked as well as they were 15-20 years ago and this is unfortunately the case at Macy's. In past years, I remember getting off the escalator on the second floor and having to catch my breath when seeing all the beautifully staged displays of china, crystal, and fine linens. Nowadays, only a pathetic display of Fiestaware has taken it's place. Is this Macy's fault? No, our "laid back" informal society is to blame. I guess fine china and crystal clashes with today's tattoos and body piercings. Oy, vey! Likewise, the men's clothing department has too many t-shirts and knock about clothing styles for my taste, especially considering Macy's is an upscale department store. You can buy such merchandise at Walmart... and for far less! I would like to see more "business casual" clothing taking the place of adolescent looking street wear. Lastly, while this may sound as being picky, the store needs a refresh as it's looking a little shabby. Outside, the landscaping needs a definite makeover. Inside, the carpets need to be cleaned (they are somewhat stained and soiled) and the paint, lighting, and overall decor needs an upgrade as it looks a tad neglected and not of the caliber one would expect of a better department store. My local Kohl's looks more like a Macy's than Macy's! Overall, I truly LOVE Macy's at Greenwood Park Mall and want desperately for it's continued success. However, I think corporate needs to spend more time and money to make it shine like a Macy's store should. Just a few observations from a very...
