Update: 12/20/24 Against my better judgment, I made the decision to come back in because this is one of the only restaurants that offers chicken fried steak. Once again, I made the mistake of sitting at the bar.
I had an older couple sit down next to me. They placed their drink & food orders and we struck up a conversation. As we sat there, they received one of their appetizers and first round of drinks; however, as we sat there waiting for one of the waitresses to check on us as we spoke with each other, it was as if we had become invisible.
When the manager stopped by to check on us, she recognized all of us as former regulars. We shared with her how NO ONE had check on us to see if we needed another drink, or refill, and the couple explained how they had not received the meals they had ordered.
The owner of these restaurants really need to understand how upsetting it is becoming when you are spending this much for meals and waitresses & waiters are all but demanding 20% tips.... Your company needs to do better if you want to keep your customers.
Update: 08/23/24
I believe that tonight is the last chance to give to this location. Those at the bar are so overwhelmed with " Dish Duty " that they just forget about their customers who are feet away from them...
It took an hour to get a simple bowl of chili tonight, and it wasn't even an actual bowl, i could have gotten more from a can of Hormel chili... Pathetic...
There are better places to eat. There are better steaks at Seafood restaurants, don't believe me, you should try Zydecos on Steak night.
If you actually believe the 4.3 stars, then you just haven't eaten here enough to see how bad it really is.
Below is a previous review that I wrote, and they haven't done anything in that amount of time to improve anything.
Can you imagine stopping into your local restaurant, a place you have been to so often they know you by name, and leaving to go home to have a bowl of cereal because your order NEVER arrived after 1 & 1/2 hours???
I came into Texas Roadhouse tonight around 8:20 pm. to get a bite because I quite frankly didn't want to cook. And the next option was cereal if I didn't get to the restaurant.
I ordered my meal and a large beer and had a quick hello to the people I know as well as those sitting next to me. I received some bread, love the bread, and started watching one of the games on tv. The two girls next to me received some appetizers and before I knew it they were receiving their steaks, which they quickly devoured. The smell only made me more hungry.
As the game continued, people came and went, and two guys came in and sat on the other side of me, they also placed their orders. Again and again, I watched as other people were receiving their orders while I sat with a nearly empty beer and basket of bread but no meal. About this time the guys sitting next to me received the meals they had ordered but grudgingly accepted the meals because it had been over an hour wait and they were no longer hungry after a basket of bread.
This is when I also spoke up and said I had ordered over an hour & a half and had also not received the meal I had ordered.
If your staff is spending more time washing dishes than they are taking care of those who frequent your restaurant and are paying to keep the doors open, guess what, they go someplace else! And they write reviews asking others, " Did you work all week to have to go home and eat a bowl of cereal after driving to a restaurant and ordering a meal that never arrived after an hour & a half wait? "
If you can't hire more staff, then maybe you need to increase the pay so you can, Because many times it only takes ONE Bad experience to...
Read moreIm writing this review in hopes that someone in corporate or the owner will see this. We went on yesterday to celebrate my son’s high school graduation. From previous visits I knew there would be a little wait time. So I was prepared for at least a 30 minute wait. We were put on the wait list at 3:51 pm for a party of 11. Wait time was 25-35 minutes. I specifically asked not to be placed near the restroom. When it was close to our sitting time, my mother in law asked about our table, and yes we were being seated near the restroom. We requested to be seated away from the restroom again, and the hostess said okay. After 35 minutes we still weren’t seated and the hostess said someone requested a different table and now we are waiting on an additional server because of the amount of guest we had. The server should be here in about 10 minutes she said. 20 minutes passed no server. Went back to asked how much longer, she said not much longer. We were not seated until 5:08 pm over an hour when were told an initial wait time of 25-35 minutes. Now I was still irritated but didn’t complain much. After we were seated at 3 different tables, the manager comes over in his rude, lying, and condescending voice and tell us that one of the booths that the hostess sat us at, we could not sit there. I said we have a party of 11. How could we possibly all fit? he said no you told them you had a party of 10. I said let’s go ask the hostess. The hostess confirmed we had a party of 11. (Right he still didn’t apologize) but went on to say we still couldn’t sit there. Then the other hostess lied and said she didn’t tell us to sit there when she walked us over to the section. I told her to her face she was lying. So two of our guest had to get up and squeeze in. Well there was one extra chair left and they brought another chair over for my daughter to sit in, but it was in the middle of the aisle. Of course the food took about 35 minutes to come out. That was fine, but then I felt rushed. The manager, well two managers stood by the computer, just staring making me feel uncomfortable. Never once asked if we were okay after the rocky start of our dinner. The server was great, we gave her a $40 tip on top of the gratuity that was automatically added to our bill. I would go again, but they really should have better, honest communication and friendly attitudes. I get jobs can be overwhelming, but if you can’t do your job properly and professionally maybe you should choose...
Read moreWent there today which is father's day June 15, 2025. It was me, my kids father, and out 4 kids. We were sat then 10 minutes later our server comes. She doesn't even say hello or happy father's day but proceeds to say a 18% gratuity is added for 6 or more. Since when does a toddler that's autistic counts as a person he is not even being served. Then the food was horrible I ordered an appetizer that came with potatoes skins, fried pickles, and boneless wings that are just chicken tenders cut up. The boneless wings were cold. Which were send back and then they brought them back with the wrong sauce. My daughter got 3 Mac and cheese with fries. Some Mac and cheese was glucose warm. My son got a hot dog. It was warm, but not hot. My other son, God mini burgers witch. He set felt room temperature, my catfish. Platter, the catfish was not crunchy or fried all the way it was soft and saturated in grease, my kid's dad, I've got the steak and rib platter, which is the most expensive thing on the menu. The steak was cold. The ribs were cool, even our loaded mashed potatoes was cold to the point. The cheese would not even melt in it once we started up for our bill to be a $150, including the gratuity. I feel like our food should have been hot and fresh. The server only came to check on us. Maybe twice during our dining experience. All her other tables, she was going back-and-forth, checking on other making sure that they did not need anything. After she took our orders, she only came back. Once so, bring our drinks and the last time. When we were complaining about The temperature of our food and our food not being to our standards.. we have never been to Texas Roadhouse. This was our first time, and I am highly disappointed by...
